i'm not big on babies myself but thought a baby scan would make a change
i'm a bit like some people are like with kittens / puppies they are ok from birth till about 6 months then i go right off them

So glad we haven't offended, Marian. Knockout image, anyway and it has occurred to me that you must have done something awfully clever to get it to display here.

I must confess I seem to have missed out completely on the maternal instinct myself. I have endless patience with kittens/puppies etc but sometimes upset people when I say I can't see the attraction of having something it takes several years to housetrain!

That doesn't mean I can't be pleased for those who do take joy from such, and I do hope this will be the case for your niece.

it's nice to find others of a like mind when it comes to kids normally when you say you don't like them people look at you as if your not right !!
i lived with a bloke once who wanted kids and he just couldn't understand why i didn't he went mad when i had my hysterectomy he was so convinced he could change my mind so i told him it was my body to do what i wanted with and if he didn't like it then he was free to leave
he didn't but we didn't last long after that
i did have a brief moment at about 15 years old when my first niece Viki was born when i was ok with them she is still my fave niece she's the mother of Dharma who is pretty ok as far as kids go

At about 15 years of age I decided I'd have 6 children - 4 boys I remember Derek and Dominic, have forgotten the other names.

However, that didn't last long. I've been a bit broody lately though

I know it's rather a serious thing to say, but I honestly believe it's a Good Thing that my genes won't be passed on. My lovely sister has 3 lovely children (grown up with their own children now), that's good enough for me.

I had one baby a year for five years after I got married!!!!!!!!!
