Has anyone had any recent experience of taking their ecig and carts/ juices through security at airports? I have read a few incidents of people having the batteries and juices etc (can sort of understand the juices) being taken away from them. Most of what I have read dates back to 2011 so wondered if anyone has some more up to date info or personal experience. Obviously the answer would be to put it all in the hold luggage. However I am paranoid that my suitcase will be lost, not worried about the clothes but don't want to lose my Riva !!

I think you have to put your juices in a clear plastic bag up to the limit , the rest go in the hold, batteries all go in hand luggage, Best thing would be 1 or 2 visions filled and in plastic bag for use in the way

I got back last week, All batteries went in the hand luggage and ALL juices went in the hold. I had two penelope's full of cocomel with a couple of Ego twist and they went through security without issue and I even vaped them whilst I was in the queue for the security scans I also had 4 AW IMR 14500s and 2 IMR 18650s in my hand luggage.

Blakey didn't you get any problems by vaping in the security queue, or we're you stealth vaping?

I've probably flown about 10 times with ecigs and had no problems. Just follow the rules, no rechargeable batteries in hold luggage and liquids that you're using in a clear plastic bag in your hand luggage. Sent from my Nexus 7 using proboards

as already posted really 1x 18650 LT +4 batts, 1 mini LT+ 6 batts and touchwood 18650 +2 batts. 50 ml of liquid, 20 cartos, 2 chargers and every thing electrical in my hand luggage. as i use the lil mama i did just take take this off and just use a boge carto while in the airport but only because anything with liquid in it has to go into a bag. i did get stopped about the TW at stanstead after the last xray they thought it looked like a tattoo gun, this wasnt in the hand baggage it was in the box with what came out of my pockets. strange really as all the batts and LTs were in a container together in the hand luggage and i guess would have made more interesting viewing on the xray compared to my TW. but no problems once they were told what it was, i just got that weirdo look you get from non vapers. i had about 6 people wanting to use my TW whilst in the bar waiting for the plane.

Yup, I had a Provari and Penelope vaping away in the line for security, removed Penelope before getting to the security person and put it in the clear bag (had liquid in it), no worries at all, my daughter however was trying to smuggle a bottle of water in her luggage and nearly brought the entire customs down on top of her (she's 4 buy the way) In the Rhodes airport I was stopped and the customs lady rooted around in my bag so I saved her the trouble and produced the Provari with Penelope attached, she had no issues at all and just looked bemused Edit: Infact I vaped int he airports, on Ryan Air, everywhere and anywhere and there was no problems, most people just wanted to know what it was and if they could get one. I wasn't stealth vaping but I also wasn't being obvious about it.

Vivi's in your clear plastic bag (I would anyway), if they have liquid customs want to be aware of them. And yes, all batteries in your hand luggage. The Porvari I thought may cause a stir but not a bit of it, I went from Stanstead so I have tried this out recently.

I was the same, the thought of being stuck in Rhodes without my gear for 2 weeks was worrying. But I think that customs have seen a lot of it recently and are not worried, I also took 3 x 20ml bottles in my plastic bag and they weren't so much as looked at. I think we all need to remember that the guys and gals at customs do this all day every day and know exactly what they are on the lookout for. Vaping gear they don't care about. Enjoy your trips and just don't look like Thomas the tank engine all over the shop and no one will care

How do you deal with the juice? All the supplier's bottles are marked poison. Do you re-bottle them or are they ok with it? I just wondered as I'm sure all the prohibited signs say no poisons.

Just put the majority of juice in your hold luggage (if you are taking any) and any other juice in the clear plastic bag just like any other liquid you will not have a problem, they've seen it all before! I have flown from 2 of the most security concious airports this year, Heathrow and JFK New York with no problems at all. Batteries MUST go in your hand luggage, i'd remove any carto's or tanks so if they went off you'd not have a problem with vapour or them getting hot.
