Hi all I woke up this morning to find that a vision rebuildable had leaked all over my desk. It has never leaked before, was full but not overfilled and was standing on its base - ie upright (so not leaking through the middle hole). My question is - is it knackered? The seals all seem intact, plastic isn't cracked - I can't even work out where its leaking from? I've had it about 3 weeks and been using it along with another one intermittently during that time. I know they're only a fiver, and if I'd dropped it or something I could accept it and move on - but the reason I went for the rebuildables was so that I could, y'know, rebuild them... So is it a design flaw? (been searching but can't find other threads with this problem for the rebuildable vision - just the previous ones), or is it just a one-off broken one? Any help appreciated before I buy another one

if it was standing upright and all the juice has 'escaped' i would say you have a leak at the base... have a go at taking it apart and cleaning then reassemble ... you could always fill with water and leave it overnight to see if it was just a one off

Cheers Gordy - yeah I've taken her apart, cleaned her and been looking with a magnifying glass, but can't see anything wrong - good idea with the water - I'll try it and report back!
ps Not sure why I'm referring to it in the feminine tense... ideas on a postcard?

Ah - filled it with water, dried it, gave it a quick blow through to clear any drops inside - which might have given me a false reading - and have a lap covered in water. I reckon its buggered. In the bin and move on then... Cheers for the help Gordy

I have a bunch of o rings in my watch list on ebay , I know that they are 8mm on the V3 but don't have a clue if I could replace them with others. I find that they disintegrate too, though I haven't had one leak yet.

The o ring is pretty easy to see once the glass is off, dont forget you can also buy a new glass for this,I just got a red glass at vape escape, there is a good chance like I did keeping it in my pocket that it has cracked along the the glass/plastic just under the chrome ring.

I've had one where the bottom o ring disintegrated after about a month. I just bought a new base but would be good to be able to get replacement o rings. Does anyone know if any vendors sell them ?(Not flea bay).

One of mine has also leaked and the easy way to check is take the tank off, wet your finger (seriously) place the bottom fat end on your finger forming a seal the narrow end in your mouth then suck, you can soon tell if its leaking. On mine where the plasic tank goes in to the bottom compression ring the glue had failed and it leaked here. I just painted some Amberweld round the seal and it's air and liquid tight again. Hope this helps.

PTFE tape if all else fails They are very thin diameter O-rings though and I don't mean overall circumference of them, the actual thickness isn't very, well thick Wouldn't mind getting some myself, also some smaller ones as one of my drip-tips is starting to go, although the o-ring isn't helping, it is actually the thread that's going. Come to think of it, I might have ordered a new tube from Jason (VapeEscape) - can't remember
