A Model shop with RC Helecopter etc spares is the best place to look X2. This is what I was thinking. my mums fella has his own workshop In our back garden. If there ain't a tool, nut, bolt, screw, glue, washer, there, it dont exist.

If cov has them and cam doesn't, you can order from cov CoV wont ship Penleope spares to the UK Thats a shame. I placed a small order last night. I also emailed him asking to place the items from my original order (that were in stock at the time) in with this order. That seems very reasonable. Wait and see now, a, if I get a response! And b, what items arrive! I'm not holding my breath which is a problem in itself.

I'd be grateful I've tried model shops and trying to explain over the phone is quite difficult.................. I've sent a pic to one of the centre post and ceramic holder.......... so they know what I'm going on about, but no response. Even contacted CoV to see if they'd make an exception and ship one to me, but nothing as yet. ECF.......... not a sausage or nut lol

Standard m3 nut prefect fit. But this one sadly is a nanoo too big for the ceramic. It fits but too big to spin down the ceramic. Mums oh says he can engineer a solution easy enough.

If the correct tools are available, shave down the corners and carve in a slot for the screw driver. Good Luck!!!

Right esme, what you need I believe is a standard m3 nut. 5 mm is the size of the circular original. But a 5mm nut thats hexagonal shape has edges that wont spin in the ceramic. (make sense)?
So preferable a 5mm circular m3 nut is what your after. I have one here that could make do in an emergency that ian has bojjed from something. I've tried it and it works and hes cut out the slot so you can take it out. It ain't great because the size ain't perfect. But it does work. And the thread is correct.

If the correct tools are available, shave down the corners and carve in a slot for the screw driver. Good Luck!!! He actually dremmled of the bit we need from a T joint. Then cut the groove. The resulting nut is only about 4 and a half mm wide and slightly shallower than the original, but it works well as a temp fix.

Give that man a pat on the back. I guess the only other question would be what material is it? Would anything other than stainless steel be ok?

I'm sure you dedicated Penny owners wouldn't mind filing down M3 nuts to fit It would be nice if the precise spec could be got from Imeo though.
