Tried soaking them overnight in a bowl of hot water and washing up liquid then rinsing over and over with no joy. Then using bicarb. of soda on a dampened kiddies paintbrush to scrub around inside to try and get rid of the smell of the original juice with no luck either.

Des always recommends Tescos own version of steradent tablets to clean clearos, I wonder if they'd work on juice bottles?

Certain flavourings do leech more so than others into the plastic Anne, not a lot you can do about it, a lemon juice solution could maybe be something else to try.
But, if it's that intense . . . not much you can do about it, other than bin/use a similar flavour next time around/ use glass bottles.

Could give the denture tablets a go oneday, thank you, nothing to lose except 55p! Good idea Perpy, thank you, lemon does neutralise, didn't think about that. I buy fruit flavours mostly which are quite intense. Glass is a good idea though, I prefer to re-cycle and hate throwing things away.

Vinegar neutralises too, hmm. Anyone fancy vinegar juice? What about salt 'n' vinegar, must be better than blue cheese or crab juice.

Yes, try the denture tablets, though the main ingredient in them is Bicarbonte of Soda, which is known as a good deodoriser.

I would think a good soak in bicarbonate of soda, or white vinegar would do the trick.

I used denture tablets too, you have to make sure you rinse everything quite a bit otherwise it`ll all smell (and taste) a bit minty fresh

If you have washed them out a couple of times Anne, even though you may be able to smell the previouse occupant, they should be ok when you put new juice in cos they will take on that juices scent.
