I tend to agree that it should have been wrapped in a strong cardboard box packed tight with loads of bubble wrap around though. Did the sender write 'Fragile, please handle with care' on the front? I've sent china ornaments sold on ebay before that way with no problems fortunately.

Royal Mail just chuck most parcels around as if they're made from rubber. Hope it gets sorted soon, you must be absolutely gutted. xx

Hiya I've been in touch with the sender and he's going to try to get it sorted out just to make this a little clearer I did not pay for the item it was being sent to me by a lovely ukv forum member free of charge.
Anne if it had been something fragile (easily broken if dropped) I would understand but its made of derlin and was well wrapped in bubble wrap. This was jammed in a machine or ran over IMHO.

Yeah absolutely royal mails fault. Its clear its there fault And they know it is hence the letter. And royal mail can pay for the replacement.

Blinkin appalling, RM are really useless and where do all the "missing" parcels go??? I was at my wits end on ebay with things going missing!

Im gutted for you VB..It looks to me that it has been miss handled.. certainly something heavy has gone on top of it or indeed stood on. was there a fragile sticker on it??

Hiya just a small update my lovely friend has been in contact with Ashdog and he's sending him out a price list for the royal mail not much more to tell you atm but I will try to keep you informed of the outcome
