A cooker? Thats something that goes in the kitchen right!? Id have waited for it too cool down and sent in the yorkies. Then again, if it was that dirty. Maybe id just pretended it never happened! :-[

LOL Karma I hope your nerves are settling. A few months back I ordered a new cooker (long story I won't bore you all with). So, moved the old one out, same deal with cat hair & grease. I also had to remove a small metal plate on the back at the bottom to disconnect the wire. Under the plate, nicely fried between the positive and negative terminals, was a dead mouse Similar thing when I managed to pull out my large fridge freezer - lots of cat hairs & a dead mouse stuck to the heat exchange thingy

Two of us have dead mice attached to our appliances. That's about 7.5%. There are 60 million people in the UK. That means there are 1.2 million mice fried to the back of electrical items in UK kitchens at this moment

You do realise, i'm presuming it's gas, that you can disconnect it and move it right out of the way, to enable the cleaning lady, sorry person to do their business. If it's electric then, what you doing with an electric cooker, everybody knows there's no controllability Edited for wrong (there's)

This is why I have a built in oven !!!! Eeekkkk Yup, integrated eye level ovens are the way forward, when I rebuilt the kitchen I had to move the old free standing one, it was disgusting. I didn't have to clear any of the grease etc up though, I just knocked it all down and chucked the remains in the skip
