I have purchased from Jim before (he makes the DID) at e-vape.gr/The%20%22DID%22 he is a good chap, he closes the shop when he sells out and is making a new batch, only for a few days normally.... he cant keep up with the orders, they are so good. You need to keep your eye on the shop as they don't last long when he opens the checkout up. Quick delivery, and good service... There is a 600+ page DID thread on another site, well worth a read. IMHO, the best Tank Genesis style rebuildable out there, fantastic quality, build, and backup service... Oh and easy to buy spares for if you ever need them Frogster

Saw a review last night, did on a provari, and he was saying it did not work properly on the provari, but was fine on all other mods?

Saw a review last night, did on a provari, and he was saying it did not work properly on the provari, but was fine on all other mods? This may ruffle a few feathers…. But IMHO, the Provari's are not all they are talked up to be. Granted, Provari’s are reasonably well made and good solid bits of kit, but they have flaws and limitations… They are viewed as the “best thing since sliced bread” by many, and I would hazard a guess that many are just following a trend when buying one, looking on ownership as a “misguided” status symbol. There are equally other good bits of kit out there, some a lot better. There are lots of recorded problems with Provari’s not accepting all sorts of atties, tanks, cartos, etc, (and using the ohm/short circuit protection “safety argument” doesn't hold water), there are also problems with the connections, fittings, etc.... So where do you go to find better…. Well, there are alternatives, for example the “Variable Watt vs Variable Voltage” consideration to make, compare a Variable Watt type device (something like a Darwin or even a fully Evolv Kicked mechanical mod) against a Variable Voltage device, and the Variable Watt type mod will generally show its superiority, and outperform the Variable Voltage device. The Variable Watt device also has the ability to hold consistency across any tank, carto, etc that you throw at it. I own both, and have experience of both (and many other types of VV and tubed manual mods too), so this is not a dig at Provari, but my personal experience and evaluated and considered opinion. My own choice, for now, is for the Variable Watt device, but, it's good we are not all the same... each to their own.

Hmmm, well you sort of proved my point (good analogy, using the Iphone, I have one too and it is crap compared to my wife’s Samsong Galaxy). So, you own a Provari, but are against buying a DID as it may not work on the Provari... It's not the DID at fault! The Provari is being overly picky in what it likes to pair up with..... In effect it’s the tail waging the dog…. The Provari is telling you what you can use and what you can't! I wouldn't buy a car that I could only drive on SOME roads. Choose your next mod with care Oh, for the record, I am sure you could get it working with a DID, others have, my DID works fine on my Provari, most of the time, but lots better on the setup in my signature.
