Just introducing myself, probably like most on here, I've been a heavy smoker for most of my life, I started when I was in junior school so was about 8 years old and am now in my 60's. At my heaviest i was smoking between 60-80 a day, I've smoked regular cigarettes, roll ups, cigars and also a pipe so you could say that I have definitely been a slave to smoking tobacco in some form for the last 53 years on a daily basis. Since Monday I've not touched a single cigarette since I bought a couple of 10 Motive disposables. Now I realise that from reading the threads on this forum I'm on the bottom rung of vapouring but I have to say that I just cannot believe the pure satisfaction and enjoyment I'm getting from these 10 Motives. My problem is that I can't put the blooming things down because they feel so good, I can now 'smoke' in the car, in the home - in all the places I couldn't before which I think is what it makes it all the more enjoyable and brings back "relaxing with a smoke' that I have missed so much. At the moment, I can't see me getting into the fantastic weird and wonderful kits that some of you are using although I can appreciate what you are doing, it's probably down to the fact that I am using vapouring the instrument to quit smoking totally and so don't envisage myself using this for too long, although having said that, I think I could carry on for much longer if there was a system available whereby I could vape without any nicotine, it's the feeling of smoking which now seems to be so attractive rather than the nicotine which I obviously still need at the moment. Anyway, your thoughts would be greatly appreciated and sorry for the rambling.

Hello & welcome Vaporized Don't worry about not being able to put it down at the moment. We absorb the nicotine from e-cigs in a different way to real cigs, so you will need to vape more often than you used to smoke. At a 60-80 a day smoker, a ciggie lookalike isn't going to cut it for you, so if you can think of using something more the size of a cigar, a Riva 1100 would suit you. This is a fantastic kit at a very good price, especially using the discount code allabout for 10% off - www.vapeescape.co.uk/the-ve-riva-1100-deluxe-kit~151You will need to buy some e-liquid as well & though you can use e-liquid without any nicotine in it with the above kit, It would be best for you to buy e-liquid with a high nicotine content to begin with & then slowly cut down

When you say buy some e-liquid with a high nicotine content in it then what would you recommend as 'high'. Also (and sorry to seem to be a bit thick) but would I be able to get more vapour from it than the 10 Motives I'm using at the moment? Welcome from me too..... and you can but 0% nicotine juice, so you can still enjoy all the benefits of vaping, including all the wonderful juice flavours, addiction free if you so desire That would be great if I could do that. Again, thanks for the informative reply - much appreciated.

You aren't being at all thick Vapourized A high nicotine e-liquid is usually between 24mg & 36mg. And you can buy that strength from most good vendors on our list of vendors - allaboute-cigarettes.proboards.com/index.cgi?action=display&board=suppliers&thread=2&page=1#2As for getting more vapour, you will get far more from a better e-cig & a good e-liquid. However, it's not the nicotine content that gives more vapour but the type of e-cig/cartomiser. Plus e-liquids with a higher VG (Vegetable Glycerine) content will give you more vapour. Lol, I'm trying not to confuse you with too much info at once, but I don't think I'm making a good job of it

Tomorrow I shall (with the help from your links) put in an order for a kit and some other bits and bobs, I'm really looking forward to trying all these things out and having a real good 'smoke' next week. It's strange isn't it? I still call it smoking rather than vapouring - no doubt I will get used to it eventually. Thanks again Chrissie for all your help on this, it really is much appreciated.

to the forum don't worry about chain-vaping, we all did at first and some of us still do I had no intention of getting into any of the gadgets or even filling my own cartridges when I started vaping, in fact I was very strict about it to Chrissie Less than 3 months later I'm sat here with my provari and Penelope in hand This forum does wonderful things for you, but it can have a bad effect on the wallet

Lol Ellen, it needn't have a bad effect on your wallet I only spend about £10 - £12 a week Vapourized, I'm so glad I haven't confused you further If you go for that kit I linked to, all you will need to add to your order is some e-liquid. Above all though, please don't hesitate asking any questions, no matter how daft they may seem to you

Hi from me too vapourised. That kit that Chrissie linked to is what most of the new vapers start with. For 1, its easy to set up, which is important. 2, it comes from a very respected vendor, who is an active member on here. 3, it is very well regarded from everyone who has tried it and i havent heard of any of them who have gone back to smoking after starting their vaping journey using it. While you are on the site, take a look at the grizwalds pick . mix juices www.vapeescape.co.uk/search.asp?types=Grizwald%27s+Gourmet+Range+%3E+Pick+%27n%27+MixThere are some lovely flavours there. And dont forget the discount code allabout when you checkout, for 10% off total order. and spend £40 for free shipping

Thanks Chrissie, well I'll get the 1100 to start off with plus a 10ml bottle of Gold and Silver at 24mg plus a bottle of Silky at 24mg as according to the description I should be able to vape all day long which is what I would prefer to begin with. Can't wait now, I was going to wait a day or so but I'll pop this order in tomorrow morning!!
Do you think that this choice is a good starter for me considering my previous smoking background?
