So, I have my GGTS about to fall on my doorstep, I have been looking at the usual stuff regarding the penelope (which will be sitting on it).
I have a few questions regarding the kick.
Do I understand correctly, that the kick keeps the output to the penny at the same wattage regardless of battery charge state? (obviously till empty)
If i was to select 9 watts on a kick, what would happen to the 9 watts if i have coils at different ohm readings, say 1.8 or 2.5 or is it a non issue?
I'll get my head round it if it kills me!!

yes mate the kick measures the resistance of your coil and adjusts itself so that you get the same wattage

That is absolutely correct - coil resistance becomes irrelevant - within limits, of course - as the Kick will handle everything for you - it's like cruise control for e-cigs. I wouldn't be without mine (and yes, Kicked GGTS with a Penny on top)

One thing to mention, before you put that kick in there CLEAN and I mean CLEAN all of the contact points of the ggts, dismantle and shine that switch mechanism and battery post making sure there is zero residue of any cleaning agent left behind. Due to the nature of the mod being stainless steel which is a lesser conductor of electricity than other metals you need to make sure that the connection is as pure as you can get it otherwise the kick gets fooled into thinking it's dealing with a depleted battery. Once done you will find that it all performs superbly and you'll wonder why everybody else doesn't have one

Skwoddy, from my experience a couple of things. Yours will be brand new so I doubt you'll have this first issue.
But I had a blob of black nastiness on one of my springs. Hardly noticeable. Maybe carbon or something I dunno. Once I spotted it, no amount of scrubbing, soaking was gonna dislodge it. I had to take a file to it to get it off. Again on mine I had just a couple of black blobs of nastiness in the threads. Were talking miniscule here. I had to use a spiky thing to ease it out. So when you see the word clean, thats the level were talking about. Coz it can be a fussy bugger, and the difference between not working at all, and working very well.
Also, don't have the shoulders of the juice control, sat on the coil when its fully shut. After youve wrapped your coil, tightened your gnurled nut, put your juice control next to it and see the gap your gonna have from a hot coil to the shoulders of the juice control when its fully closed. (that may not make sense to you right now). But trust me, if your ggts is getting more than warm, is because that juice control is sat on your coil, or is too near it. That will trick your kick into thinking the device is overheating and stop working.
And if you just happen to not have a kick fitted, forget to turn it off, accidentally fall asleep on a settee and accidentally activate it in your sleep. You'll burn your hand when you go to pick it up.
HEY, THESE THINGS ARE EASILY DONE I'M TELLING YOU!
