Hi, I'm very new to vaping but a long time smoker, I've only been vaping for a few days but totally hooked on it and haven't had a real cig since I started and with no intention of having one either, so committed am I that I ordered a Rivo 1100 today after a couple of days of vaping.
Anyway, my question is this, my intention is to eventually weed myself off the nicotine but still vape, is this a normal thing with you hardened vape users on here because at this precise moment I can see me doing without the nicotine but I really can't see me doing away with the 'smoking' sensation - is this wrong?

My plan was to wean myself of the nicotine, but I've never got round to it. It doesn't seem to be that bad for you (if that changes I shall have to review my decision) and it gives me alot of pleasure, so at the moment, I'm staying as I am.

This is only my intention, now whether I will be able to do it is another matter. I guess I've got rid of the worst bit which is the smoking and by comparison the nicotine addiction is not so bad but I was just wondering what kind of percentage of people went the complete way with zero nicotine. It's not important but just curious.

Same as Womble really, I also planned to reduce my nicotine and I started trying a few weeks ago and found myself chain vaping even more than usual, so when I ordered more juice this week I've gone back up to my usual strength again. Once I got into vaping I knew I would keep vaping but thought I would probably go down to zero nic, now I don't see that happening and it doesn't matter that much. I also drink a large pot of strong filtered coffee every day and neither my doctor/friends/family or anyone blinks at that... My bloke quit smoking, but has been using nicotine lozenges for a year as he never tried vaping. I will take my shiny gadgets and pixie juice over a nasty lozenge

I must admit that at the moment I'm virtually chain vaping, I still can't put it down, now that maybe (probably is!) because the e cigs I am using at the moment aren't high enough dosage for me yet after smoking 60 a day. It's early days for me and I've got a little way to go before I find the right level I guess but in the meantime, I'm thoroughly enjoying myself.

That's the main thing and to switch from a 60 a day habit to vaping is a massive achievement, I wouldn't worry about the nicotine levels at all at the moment

Zero nic can affect the flavour & throat hit. If you're chain vaping for enjoyment you might consider 11-18mg strength & 20mg+ if you need a nicotine hit. Good luck

The way I look at it, there are something like 4,000 chemicals in cigarette smoke (if the stuff you read is true). Many of these are known carcinogens. Others are nasty in their own way. Nicotine is addictive, in the same way as caffeine, but has no proven harmful effects on the body. I'll stick with my nicotine thank you very much and kiss goodbye to the other 3,999

I have tried a zero nicotine and enjoyed it,but I have also found that,as when I started vaping I was still smoking the odd roll ups, having a low nic made me reach for the rollies more,at the moment I stick to 18mg,but if you can get down to zero its still thoroughly enjoyable

I vape 8mg and am quite happy with 6 if 8 isn't available, so I'm sure zero nic. wouldn't make much difference.
