Ive made it down to 2 mg nic on my latest order from Pixie. Started at 18mg and cut back rapidly over a few weeks to around 4/3/2 mg strengths. I prefer the lesser throat hit and still find vaping to be enjoyable! Tried an 18mg in penelope and she nearly killed me!
I do find I go through juice quite quickly at the lower strengths as find myself chain vaping more!

I have given up smoking many times, quite successfully, but my trouble is that I could not stay stopped. The last time I was off them for 18 months. The trouble is that whilst we smoked for the taste and the throat hit, we also used nicotine to keep us calm, especially in stressful situations. Now having stopped smoking, in ordinary everyday life we can usually get through most situations on will power alone, albeit sometimes with difficulty, but occasionally something happens when the ex-smoker just has to have that nicotine fix and that is when all the will power in the world is just not enough.
Stopping smoking is stressful enough without the added pressure of doing without that chemical that which got us hooked on fags in the first place.
Having gone from a 45 a day superking habit to 100% vaping, I am only too aware that some of the other chemicals found in cigarettes are not present with vaping and these do have their own withdrawel symptoms. However my will power can cope with these and the nicotine content of e-juice will take care of the rest.
Having found a safe way to enjoy the taste, the throat hit and the calming effects of nicotine, whilst I may someday consider cutting down on my 24mg strength, I will never again attempt to put myself through another stressful session of trying to give up nicotine altogether.
Why should I?
For those that want to use e-cigs as a route to stop smoking, good luck to all of you, but for me, e-cigs are Mana from Heaven!

Yes, I have vaped no nic and it is great for during the day for me, I like to vape whilst i am playing online Scrabble but didn't need the nic. Have bought loads of flavourants to do my own, so many to choose from, it will be hit & miss at first as I don't know how much flavour to add, I will just experiment. However, I do have to have the low mg nic for the evening and sometimes first thing in the morning, but still not keen on the throat hit so i don't use much PG in my nic mixes I would rather have the flavour and the clouds of steam. # #

I spent so much time reading and researching which kit to buy that I didn't do nearly enough homework on juices. As a result, I started off with 5mg nic juices, and as I got a small stock, I thought I'd better use them. So, I have been using very low nic juices from day1 of vaping. It's probably true that my vaping experience is quite different from most on here. But then again, I started this way so I've never known any different. I got some sound advice yesterday about getting a small supply of, say, 18mg in case I feel the urge for a real nicotine hit and get tempted to smoke a stinky, and that's what I'm going to do. But I'll stick to my 5mg for now and see if I can reduce to 0 at some point. If I do, well and good, but its very early days ..

I really do wonder about how much effect the nicotine is having on me to be honest. I feel like it's more the act of vaping that I enjoy and wonder how much of the rush is just down to deep inhale/exhale. Would be intrigued to try zero nic side by side with a 24mg and see if I notice a different head rush.

well i for one like nicotine.....and caffeine....and msg and sugar
i don't take any drugs, i drink moderately, and i never get laid, so i'd like some vices thank you
also zero nic doen't do it for me at all...no throat hit, diminished flavour
vapourised - it's totally normal to chainvape at the beginning....i did......i've calmed down now, settled into a less frequent habit, not out of choice, it just happened that way....so just vape your socks off and enjoy yourself, mister!

I dripped some Paradise Vape Strawberry Daiquiri 0 nic & 18mg this afternoon but haven't noticed any difference other than flavour is better in the 18mg.
I've also dripped 0 nic Grape & 0 nic Blackcurrent today and enjoyed them. I've a couple of Boges soaking & will try a 0 nic day tomorrow.
I'm currently dripping (taste-test) Key Lime Hi nic. 'Tis vair nice but I'm no noticing any physical difference betwixt hi, zero & 18mg.

I've been thinking about this since my post this morning and have now changed my mind. Had a couple of really good vapes where it was clear to me the nicotine was playing a very pleasant part of the effect.
