Can I use this for a vivi nova?

Will it be ok for the vivi novas? If so, what ohms?

MMF, I think that precoiled wick have had mixed reviews. I`ll see if I can dig around for more info.

It would be better IMHO if it was higher ohms than 1.8.

I have just ordered some to try with Vivi Nova heads or maybe even my Penelope, it should be with me shortly, I'm not sure what the 1.8 ohms relates to though, as it does not state what length of coil gives you 1.8 ohms. I will of course do a review.

MMF did you see the pictorial rewick and recoil of the Vivi nova heads I posted yesterday?

It doesn't fare too well in the Penelope Des, Blue tried it . . . the wick size/twisting the non res legs on, is against it I guess.

But it's great for doing a swift re-wick/coil in the drippers.

No reason why it shouldn't be Anne, although as Des says it'll depend upon how many winds it will take to get 1.8ohms . . . and whether that will fit into the Nova head.

I think Blue said it was 4ish turns and it's tightly/close wound, so it ought to be ok.

OK... I have re-wicked a Vivi Nova head using the ready wire. It works perfectly and was one of the quickest and easiest re-wicks I've done.

I left too many wraps around the wick though, so the coil is coming in at nearer 2.8 than 1.8. Given that coil reistance is determined by the length of the wire / number of wraps, I'm not sure how this can be classed as 1.8ohm. It can only be 1.8 at x wraps surely?

Anyway, to answer the OP - yes you can

Probably a stupid question oneday, lol, but roughly, how many wraps do you think you had? They seem very close together.

I honestly don't know Anne, I left enough wire on the wick to fill the gap in the vivi. Maybe 7 or 8??
