On my lunch break noticed that E-Lites have a stand in the shopping centre (funnily enough about 5 yards away from a Stop Smoking service!).
Thought I'd play dumb and pretend I'd never tried any e-cigs before to see what the guy on the stall said. He really didn't know his stuff and was just after a quick sale ("Electronic cigarettes are just nicotine", "They are not bad for your health at all" followed by "They are 99.9% more healthy than cigarettes").
First he showed how it works with a puff on it and he produced no vapour what so ever, clearly doesn't use them himself. Then let me have a go (with a hygiene tip' on it) and it was quite frankly rubbish compared to my SkyCig.
I think it was £28 for the kit which included four pre-filled tips, a charger and I think just one battery.

Sounds about right for E-lites Benny And yes, their standard starter kit does come with just the one battery. Did he also come out with the rubish about each "tip" being the equivalent of 40 cigarettes

If I wasn't still a noobie I'd have baffled him with questions and facts about prices. Can't knock them too much though, there's money to be made there and the more people that take up e-cigs the more of the norm it will become. Just worry they'll try them and have a bad experience and give up on the idea.

Yeah I was baffled with the 40 a day claim, and again I would suggest ten a day is about right.
I went back to the guy a few days later. He said I was vaping it wrong. I had to take only 3 or 4 drags and that way it would be the equivalent of 40 fags. What a joke

Still find it amazing that ECITA let their members get away with this >

I've said before that ecita should be bringing to book their members that make such statements .... I think it needs to be sooner rather than later

I remember writing reviews on the E lites web page,I badly marked their batteries in one, their carts in another, never published of course, because they wouldn't have stood well against all the 5 star rave reviews

Sadly, I doubt it will happen, Storm In which case it makes ecita look like clowns and not representative of the vaping community , nor does it make it worth while for any vendor to join them , whilst they still allow "some" members to make unsubstantiated claims

Ah ha but if members make unsubstantiated claims meaning that newbies buy the surely ecita benefit, where as if they told the truth and newbies wonder if they can do better then they'll research and ecita will loose out on sales...

Speaking to JayJay about this last night, the local shop which got me interested in Vaping decided to open again, he used to be a TW franchise. I went in enquiring about mods rebuildables, ohms this and watts that, totally blew the rep out of the water, "Hang on ill get the boss" came the reply. Frankly he spoke out of his arse on a few subjects too, shown me a Vivi Nova and get this, I asked him how much he wanted for it ------ £27 ------, you can imagine my disgust, marched out vowing never to return, Shark.

Apparently firms like E-lite use a machine that can take so many "puffs" out off each carto and the equivalent is 40 analogues, but then again a straw would probably give the same results on their machine.A complete rip off IMO as a vape is totally different to a draw on a stinky. They are not testing like for like and IMO you cant test 2 different systems

Just so relieved I found this forum and you guys before it was too late (can you feel the love? ) I saw a disposible e-cig on sale in a newsagents and that's what got me thinking about taking up e-cigs again. If I'd not done the research I'd have just bought it and been very dissapointed more than likely.
