Hi I have just been reading through the threads ref mixing and was wondering if there would be a starter kit I could buy that includes all the basics. I am happy to buy all the flavors myself, but ref the PG / VG Nic, droppers, bottles etc It would be easier if there was a kit I could buy instead of trying to assemble all the required items separately myself.
thanks

the paradise vape 1 is a good 1 to start with as it is not an overly strong nic to be playing around with until you find your feet with mixing any mistakes are not going to put you in too much trouble as a mistake with 50mg+ can be worrying.

Although I haven't bought from them, the lady whose business it is, does post on here from time to time Fres . . . seems very knowledgeable and pleasant.

I have just ordered this kit and the reason being that it comes with 54mg nic base and as that seems to be the standard mg that most mixers use, I thought that I had better start off the way I will be mixing in the future. On its down side, it does not really come with the flavours I fancy but as these flavours are available elsewhere at about £3.50 for 10ml, that is no deal breaker.

Well I've done it! My very first batch. 3 x 24mg x 10ml bottles and 1 x 18mg x 10ml.
I used the Health E Vape mixing kit for the basics and E Liquid Labs for the flavourings of Menthol, Cappuccino and Golden Leaves for the first 3 juices and just used the 18mg to make up a batch from my Dregs Bottle, just to see what that would be like.
Now I just have to sit on my hands for a couple of days to let it blend.

Thanks Guys and Gals. The Menthol and the Cappuccino are juices that I buy normally anyway and will give me an aiming point to try to match. The Golden Leaves is a tobacco flavour I have tried in the past and didn't like the bought stuff, so perhaps this is something I can try to tweak with my own.
The Dregs, well what the hell, always good furra larf.

I have been reading along on this thread, as I have started to become more interested in trying the full range of things involved in vaping. Before I go an jump into something that is over my head, how straight forward with this??
I have looked at the starter kits, and I know they say they have everything you need, but is there more to it than just working out quantities of ingredients, mixing them, and it's done??
Also I have been reading people talking about steeping juices, what does this mean??

There's no mystery as such to mixing Goth, but you do need to do it safely, have some patience and enjoy a lttle experimentation.
Steeping means, letting your mixes steep/rest/infuse before either testing or tweaking them, as it can with certain flavours especially, take time for the flavour molecules to fully blend with PG/VG . . . as a general rule I leave mine a week to rest.

The one thing that my Mixing Kit sadly lacked when it arrived, was decent Syringes.
Fortunately it took so long to eventually come that by the time it did I had ordered and received some 1ml, 5ml and 10ml syringes and one rather small gauge needle. They made my first mix more accurate if a little slow due to the needle size.
I have now added to my syringe collection and recieved some 14 guage needles.
Half the battle appears to me to having a decent working area, proper measuring devices, a good supply of well fitting latex gloves and the recipe in front of you.
Oh, and don't do what I did and expect the needle of the syringe to go down the dropper nipple on your bottles. They don't. So, if you are using syringes to measure your juices, then remove the dripper nipples from the bottles before you start. Then put the caps back on until you are ready to use the these bottles.
