Hi guys, I have googled this and clicked on loads of you tube videos, but all I keep finding is how to do the initial fill. How do I top up a DCT without getting covered in juice, or having to vape it dry first. I know there are tank filling tools and I'm probably going to get one, but can anyone point me in the right direction in the meantime.

There's a step-by-step photo instruction here which I found useful

I do mine as in the photo instructions onedayposted but use my spikey thing If the carto is flanged make sure you get the flange properly slotted in the grooves for it, then hold it onto something when you pop the drip tip in otherwise pushing the drip tip on can knock the carto back out, hope that makes sense. also, before the drip tip pop a few drops into the filler again using spikey once its re assembled hold a tissue or your finger tightly over the bottom of the carto and have a couple of sucks this forces the juice up through the holes into the carto filler. you should see a couple of air bubbles when you do this that should be it ready to go every now and again do the sucking thing without pressing the battery to keep the carto wet!

Thanks for all the comments and videos but I'm asking how to top it up, not how to do the initial fill It's the same process Ellen... remove drip tip, push carto down a little way (no juice will come out of the bottom), tip at an angle, drip juice down the side, push carto back up

Sorry ellen, didn't read that properly, just do it like oneday says. I usually refill mine when the juice is about 1 or 2 mm above the hole, the juice won't leak out

Thanks guys, I just wondered if there was a more foolproof way as the one time I tried to push the carto a bit it went all the way through and juice went everywhere, so last time I just vaped the tank dry

if you are not using flanged cartos then i would suggest filling from the bottom to reduce the chance of leakage ...if they are flanged then you dont get the option

Put the tank onto a mod or old EGO battery before you start then you have some control over what is happening. Drip tip off and slide the tank up the carto, now this is where you can have a problem do you stop above or below the punched holes if it is above then you have to be quick pushing the tank down or you will lose juice out the bottom where the indents made by punching the holes are as the o-ring will not touch the carto just there, below the holes you may not have enough space to refill so next time you punch the holes put them a bit further up the carto then you will be fine for mess free refilling. But don't do any of this for "one piece top tanks" as they are filled a different way.

I also found when I used to use my tank/carto combo that I would get air blocks...every time I would try and take a pull I would get a mouth-full of juice, any remedies to that problem ?
