it would have been today!

Toilet lever broke yesterday and what should have been a tedious but easy enough syphon replacement has turned into a hellish story of blue hands, stuck stopcocks, evil glares at husband whose answer to anything DIY is 'phone a friend' and furiously muttered swearwords at plumbers unknown that run pipes to cisterns that don't turn off when the rest of the bathroom supply does!



As it is I'm coping with all that on Vanilla and the odd puff of Chocolate Raspeberry. Good, innit?

My other half is so bad I spent 2 days crying over our new dishwasher which was still not fitted 3 days later and water kept splurting out....eventually did it all by myself - can't help with toilets unfortunately but a dab hand if anyone needs advice on fitting dishwashers

Thank you all, I really feel like today has confirmed that I'm off them forever and it's so liberating!

I now have a working loo and knowledge of where the outside stopcock is. Still a bit growly at the husband but that may be the PMS... #icon_sorry#

Very annoying,well done for not reaching for the stinkies,have you managed to turn off the mains and fit a valve in to isolate the cistern

My nephew whose a plumber is going to fit a valve closer to the cistern (probably help the next person to live here more than me but hey ho)
