taste buds do play silly buggers for a while after quitting the stinkies... they are just coming back to life and will soon be better than ever ...not to mention your sense of smell ...bare with it, it wont last long

Take some comfort from the fact that I personally ( and I'm sure a few others ) still cannot taste some juices even after 20 months of vaping , the key IMO is just to persevere and try different juices , my main every day fallback is my home brew VERY VERY strong menthol. Keep up your fluid intake ( the recommended norm is 2 litres per day ) so try an extra litre or more. Extra fluid intake is a biggy once you are vaping , dry mouth usually results in manky tasting juices Hope this is of some help to you ,

I use the menthol flavour enhancer in my menthol mix , for me personally it seems to "soften" the edges , difficult to explain but makes a smoother vape

I smoked for 35 years and my buds are totally wrecked , I really am lucky if I get a day vaping and tasting some flavours , hence DIY menthol

I'm the same Storm after all my years of heavy smoking . . . although I'm not a fan of Menthol, an extra potent Tiramisu mix is what I fall back on, that and keeping a number of flavours on the go at a time.

i sometimes wonder if this tastebud holiday has something to do with an allergic reaction to PG or something. Alot of people have probs with PG.
Could very well be wrong, probably am, but it wouldn't hurt to try VG only so at least it's somethng you can rule out.

PG allergies/sensitivities don't normally manifest with taste bud issues Boo, some of the reported symptoms of PG problems that I know of are:
Sore throat or tongue.
Headaches.
Cough/tickly throat.
A general feeling of unwellness, tiredness & lethargy.
Rashes, either on the face/body or both.
There are probably more that I'm unaware of.
Allergies can also develop at any time, it wasn't until I'd been vaping for 18 months that I became sensitive to PG.

Quite often when people stop smoking they get a sore mouth/mouth ulcers. I got loads of cold sores when i stopped but they weren't helped by me not cleaning my drip tips properly and re-infecting myself As for throat hit, that was very important to me at first, it doesn't bother me the same now, i'm now much more interested in the flavour. Try some pure VG juices and see how you get on
