Sorry if this is all "old hat", but I am trying to understand the mixing of nicotine and how it is worked out. If I go to;- www.cig-eliquid.co.uk/18_ml_VG_52mg_base_nicotine/p649230_4992885.aspxthey are saying that if I use an 18ml bottle of 52mg nicotine base liquid and I want a 24mg mixture, then I need to add 21ml of VG to obtain 39ml of 24mg mix. Now, if I decided to buy say 100ml of 100mg nicotine base and I draw off 18ml into a beaker, do I simply add double the VG, say 42ml of VG to get the mix down to 24mg?

(18/60*100) ..for both remember that they are unflavoured so adding flavour will reduce the potentcy proportionately. Lobey, there are some juice calculators you can download or use web-based ones if that helps your calculations. You need to be certain of your measurements if you are going to mix, last thing we`d want is someone accidently poisoning themselves/pets/kids. Its also illegal to have nicotine in concentrations higher than 75mg/7.5% unless you have a poisons license, so 100mg is a definate no-no...assuming you can get it past customs...you are not supposed to use general post for transporting of poisons etc. This stuff is poison after all and people should be aware of handling it with safety equipment and dealing with any spills properly. ejuice.breaktru.com/www.liberty-flights.co.uk/calculator.aspwww.cloud9vaping.co.uk/epages/yxve46fvrnud.sf/en_GB/?ObjectPath=/Shops/yxve46fvrnud/Categories/ELiquidCalcHope that helps

Thanks.
When I said about the 100mg, it was only as a refrence to the calculation, I have no intentions of actually trying to buy that strength.
I tried to download the ejuice.breakthru calculator but Microsoft doesn't like some of the files on it and blocked.
I'll have a look at the others.
<<< 2nd question is no, you`ll have 30mg juice. (18/60*100)>>>
Could you eplain this in a way that idiot me can understand?

Lobey. Divide the amout of nicotine base added (18ml) by the total amout of liquid (18+42) and multiply it by the milligrams of nic in the base. So, essentially 30% of the end result is the nicotine base. Shame about ejuiceme up not working for you >

Thanks to all who have answered this. I think (??? ) I am getting my head around this now. It is rather overlong since I did any schoolwork, on a bit of slate and with a squeeky bit of chalk! I will start with a mixing kit and take it from there. When I mix my own, I'll use an online mixing calculator.

Just to bring this up to date. I did a 4 flavours mix this morning, using an online calculator and everything was A1. I will leave the 3 main flavours to blend for a couple of days, but I tried my "Dregs" mix this evening (that was just a mixture that I added 18mg of Nic Base to) and it is luvverly. So thanks for all your help. Now I just need to find an online calculator that measures in Gallons instead of Mililitires.

Good to hear Lobey, it's amazing what a little steeping time can do for some mixes that you would swear were destined for the sink.
