I try to promote e-cigs wherever I can & though I know this forum is only a small cog in the works, I would like to be able to find ways to promote it so that we can all let even more people know about vaping I've thought about changing the URL. For starters I made a stupid mistake when setting up the forum & missed out a - between all & about. I was under a lot of pressure at the time - given 24 hours by James the eBay Pink to remove all links on our eBay group & I was coping with the grief of losing someone that I loved. More than anything at the moment I'm looking for help from anyone that understands google indexing. If anyone types in All About e-cigarettes in the search we come up on the first page. But that's a catch 22 situation - you need to know the name of the forum to find it! Any help would be so much appreciated

I do wonder if a change of name for the forum would help Chris, although it's a difficult one given ProBoards stance on vaping . . . wonder if anyone has any suggestions? Great shame Ebay banned the sale of them as that was a terrific way of spreading the word.

Just a suggestion from me too Chris, I know this thread strictly speaking belongs here, but how about moving it to the main board - just think we might get a better response there.
More along the lines of the Forum's Future going forward maybe?

Thanks Perpy & Scylla Yes Scylla, I added our URL to Google soon after setting up the forum That bit was easy The rest is beyond me though. Looking at that link & another re indexing, it all looks more connected with selling?

I know that it's referring to selling - I'm just wondering if we can still use it so that people looking to buy the most popular products will find dedicated threads for support here, maybe with links to model-specific suppliers within, thus introducing them to the forum. I'm not compost mentis enough to work out if it could work. scylla

This may sound a bit crazy, Chrissie, but maybe the ECF would be willing to have a link over there?
Edit: I'm going to add the link to my sig line over there.
Another edit: I thought about it and I'm pretty sure that Rolygate and Angus would rightfully say that if they did it for one they would have to do it for all. It was a bad idea, I was just brainstorming. I did add the link to my ECF sig line.

Jerry, at one time there was a thread on ECF with links to other e-cig forums. I don't think it was ever pinned anywhere though & I can sort of understand that ECF don't really want to encourage folks to post elsewhere. Thanks ((Jerry))for adding a link to here in your sig. I got an infraction not long after adding mine. The mod told me I had to remove it - or else. I replied that I'd checked with Angus & he was OK about but if there was now a change of policy, I would go back to my forum & remove every link & reference to ECF. My infraction was instantly reversed (((James))) you are good to us

I'm not going to worry about that, Chrissie. If I get an infraction, I will talk to Angus, as well. This is a wonderful forum with very nice people, so as far as I am concerned, it's worth taking the risk.

Thanks again (((Jerry ))) The moderator that gave me the infraction is no longer a mod now.

M'lady, I didn't see anything in the rules over there that would prohibit it. I may know who that moderator is. I will have to PM you, I also have a couple of other forum subjects to talk to you about.
