AAEC for friendliness, quick responses, just good feeling. I'm also on UKV but so many of the threads segue into subtle and not so subtle bitching that it gets tiresome. There is good info on there though. ECF I only use via google to search for specific info/reviews - it's just too big. Also don't like not being able to preview a thread by hovering over thread title

I'm also on UKV as at the time I started this game it was the one everyone was talking about. I've only made a few posts there, and this (AAEC) is the one I call home. The information is all here but it is so informal and well regulated, and the members so forgiving. If I make some stupid comment I know the members here will say 'don't be a prat' BUT in a 'loving, family way'

I like the community here. I like the variety on UKV. ECF is just good for finding info and keeping up with the latest mods.

I don't mean any offense by this, the way it seems to me sometimes is AAEC is for the ladies and UKV is for the boys

I totally disagree there Benny.

I have more fun on here because the girls dont let us get carried away with ourselves.

And i wouldnt have it any other way.

Ive met a few guys n gals from here when we had a mini-meet in may.
Every single one I would feel proud to call a friend.

Being a newbie to vaping, I am still finding my way around and I have not looked at ECF, but I have at UKV and found it very heavy and not really helpful to me.

AAEC members take time to explain things, even when I post the daftest questions and I am grateful for their time and efforts.

While some of the stuff I read here is still way over my head, at least on this forum I know that in time I will be right into Mixology and MODs and all the other weird and wonderful branches of my new found hobby.

If UKV had been the only forum available to me when I started, I'd still be using my Skycig and I would not have progressed any further.
AAEC has "turned me on" and now I want more!

Straight answers no sugar coating

ECF is a vaping encyclopaedia, no doubt about that, but for me it's way too big and a lot of the threads are directed towards an American market, thankfully Chrissie rescues the Brits and ships them over here, that's how I found my way

UKV1 was fairly friendly, not overly helpful to the newbie, but it was definitely a forum, a community of sorts.

UKV2, I don't know what it is now, but it's not friendly anymore, in fact it almost tries to make a point of not being as some kind of response to the TW fiasco. If I'm honest I go there mostly to look at the classifieds, I've tried several times to engage in threads there, but it's more a collection of individual points rather than flowing conversations. Maybe there is more of a community feel on their Lounge forum, but I never even go in there as the vibe on the rest of the place isn't that welcoming. Would I post any personal info, good news/bad news on UKV? Pfffft....

Vape pit hasn't had a mention yet and I've only recently started to visit there, but despite what people say/think on other forums vape pit is very friendly, it isn't cuddly and they are advanced vapers, very advanced, but as long as you don't go asking how to fill a cartomiser they are very helpful. There's a wealth of knowledge there, the humour is very adult and very sarcastic, but that appeals to me as a Manc

And last (that I've visited anyway) but certainly not least is here this place ticks all the boxes for me, that's why my post count here is in the "bloody chatter box" region and on UKV it's not even 50

Here is a true community, I've made genuine friends, shared highs and lows and I've only been here 3 months. I know you're all thinking, is that all

I like the way the newbie is embraced and nurtured here and I'm not being dramatic or soppy when I say that saved my life, not just in the cigs could kill me one day thinking. My gran and mum died from smoking in the past few years and 2 aunts have COPD, my clock was seriously ticking...
and I like to be able to pass some of that back to newbies now.

This turned into quite the waffle, sorry, but what I was saying is that this place can welcome the newbie, be a community and also has lots of advanced members here when you wanna get all technical

So what I'm trying to say is I love AAEC, lets all have a

Cruised round a few of the forums when starting out, joined ECF and then found the link to here, liked it so much I never went back. I am member of few forums not to do with vaping but my other hobby and they are all very much male dominated, so it's a nice change being here.
I have been having some problems in my life at the moment and if hadn’t been for the kind people on here things would have been a lot worse, all I am trying to say is a big thank you to AAEC and all lovely people on here.

Finally joined UKv tonight and after a good browse I definitely prefer here. The atmosphere seems flat over there and i do NOT like the layout at all!!
