510 thread?

Hi firstly great forum lots of good info for newbies like me.

I just bought my first electric cigarette. I got Boge classic starter kit from go 4 smoke off the vendor list.

The reason i went for this is because it said it was 510 threads and that seemed to look like it would make it compatible with a few other products and it would be easy to get replacement cartomisers and stuff. I filled my first cartomiser with juice and it seems ok but now looking at other vendors 510 cartomisers they look different to mine! All other 510 thread stuff i have looked at have the male thread on the cartomiser and the female on the battery my kit is the other way round. Where have i gone wrong or have they sent me the wrong kit? Hope someone can help.

Unfortunately I've not used or seen the kit you have, but as you've said a standard 510 connection should have the male screw on the carto, and a female socket on the battery. I would guess that the fittings are actually 510 however from the first photo on the site the batteries look to have the male connection.

I'd say the description is a tad misleading and it could be that you could send it back (if you wanted to) stating that. Certainly the spare parts for that kit will be harder to come by.

Hopefully someone with a bit more knowledge (and there's a bundle here) will be along soon to help out.

I would ask for a refund quickly. The 510 thread is, as you say, supposed to be a universal standard. By constucting it the other way round they have effectively locked you into their cartos as no others will fit.

In my opinion that should be made clear on the description

I agree with Firin & OneDay, from the pics, that so isn't a 510 e-cig :-[ It looks like it may be either a 901 or 808

As Go4 smoke appear to have so little knowledge of what they are selling, I'm going to remove them from our list of vendors. If I hear they have sorted their mistake out for you, I will then consider adding them again.

i'd consider bigger batteries. ego are compatible with 510 atties.

I think you are being very unfair, we got your first phone call today at 11am, and this was the first time we was made aware of this issue today, and we have allready stated we would swap the classic boge starter kit that was paid £19.99 for a better 510-t tank boge set for £24.99, and we said we would send out first thing monday morning. and we would change the description on the website.

Forgive me for not checking the forums last night this is the first time i have saw this thread. we have been busy moving in our new shop in barnoldswick what launching on monday working very late nights.

We try very hard on our customer service, im sure a lot of people are pleased with our service, and we are not a over charging company prices are very reasonable with just 99p postage.

Well i spoke to go 4 smoke today and they said they would send me this instead on Monday. I can then send the first kit back. I cant really tell from there pictures but it says its 510 and they told me on the phone it definitively is but will just wait to see what turns up, hopefully the male and female will be the right way round!

They said they had just changed supplier and that they would be updating there website soon. They seemed nice and very willing to sort it out so hopefully this should be sorted soon and i can get on with deciding what to buy next. I like the look of the ego and riva kits that you have recommended, there is just so much stuff out there! Thanks for your help and will let you know what happens with the replacement.

Clare, I don't think that Mzal was being at all unfair IMHO. You had that kit listed as a 510 threaded kit & that was why he bought it.

You may have agreed to "swap" the wrongly advertised kit for a different 510 kit, but Mzal, didn't know that when he started this thread. I also hope you will be paying for the return postage for the incorrect kit you sent him?

I've got to admit that I'm still concerned that as a vendor, you don't know what you are selling

yes i understand, the product was only placed on our website 2 weeks ago, and we did not notice we had described the product wrong , we have now changed the listing.

As i stated on the phone before we read the forums,

we can refund or replace for the kit he was after in the first place.

No i dont think you are being unfair, sorry if i have made myself that way, its just i was shocked because this was the first ever complaint, we have had against us on forums about us, and we allready talked to you on the phone. but you did this thread yesterday before we talked, but like we said on the phone we will resolve this asap. and we are sorry for not listing the item not correctly.
