I'm on a quest to find the most compact device for pocketing that I can use with my 306DCA. I was wondering, has anyone ripped apart a Gripper (not the VV) and do you reckon the atomiser tube section could be cut away and have enough room to attach a DCA?
I was going to get one to have a go, not much lost at £15, but thought I'd see if anyone else has tried anything similar.

You can buy an adapter for the gripper which gives enough height for a tank. Would that work?

I have seen the extender, but I like the way that when using a carto with it, just the drip tip pokes out the top, making the whole device really short. I was kind of hoping to use a DCA in the same way.
I guess it depends whether there is enough plastic between the carto tube and the battery to be able to grind enough away to fit the DCA on?
Edited to say: I've just ordered a gripper (and extension) from alba vapours. Will post back when I have cut the blighter to pieces to try and squeeze in my DCA!

you would still need the DCA to come above the top of the gripper or it'll be very uncomfortable to get your lips on the DCA
if you could angle it could work but would resemble an asthma inhaler

How about using an extra long drip tip? I'm guessing I'm going to cut most of the carto tube away, so adjusting the two parts of the DCA shouldn't be an issue.

Well, should hopefully have it on Tuesday, so I'll find out soon enough! I hope I can make it fit, and still be robust enough without having to resort to wrapping it all in duct tape....

Well, I got my gripper through the post today, and have been using it all day at work with my DCA on top of the extension... I love it. For such a cheap little thing it's great. Really compact. It seems a shame to rip it apart to see if I can fit my DCA inside. Might have to buy a second one...
