ready to try cartomisers

So far ive been using the clearomisers that came with my vision 1000, but i want to have a go at drip tipping , it seems boge carts are popular so i thought i could try them, what do ya think ?
Do i have the procedure correct, open it up, remove the filling and drip a few drops of juice in , then vape ?
do many people prefer using carts to tanks, i suppose i should try it for myself, in this case i take it i open one up fill it up and leave to soak before using.
Sorry if these are real basic questions, still a bit confused, need to try it so i can get my head around it

I just got a couple of Ikenvape IO6 Atomisers today, great for dripping I'm sure the more experienced vapers will be along just shortly to keep you right though!

Captain, it's best to fill the boge cartomisers for the first fill using the 'condom' method, check out the vidoe on the last post here

after the first fill then periodically top up by dripping a few drops into the wadding and avoiding the centre hole. I usually hold a tissue over the threaded end and blow throw the drip tip before attaching onto the battery to get rid of any excess juice

Brilliant thank you, i'll start with the boges then, why do some people remove the filling though ?

You would only remove the filling if you wanted to try 'direct dripping'. Personally I wouldn't bother, for direct dripping you can pick up an atomiser very cheaply

Direct dripping is a different concept all together, whereby you drip the juice a few drops at a time directly onto the atomiser coil to give a taste unhindered by cartomiser wadding. It is possible with Kanger cartos to remove the wadding and drip onto the coil, as it sits horizontally at the bottom of the carto. In Boges, however, the coil is vertically located in the centre tube and so these can't be modified for dripping.
There are specific atomisers for dripping, such as the 306 or the many re-buildables

Agree with Karma & Oneday, if you want to try dripping, you would do better to buy an atomiser.

One last question are these just a way of extending the use of a cartomiser, as in longer before you need to fill and if so are they worth getting ?

Captain if you like the flavour you get from a carto, then a carto tank extends the amount of liquid you can carry around with you from about 1ml in the carto to either 3.5 or 6 ml depending on which tank size you get. You also need to get pre-holed cartos or a carto punch to use with a tank

You edited your post after I answered captain the xxl boges are the same as what Chrissie is offering to send you just longer!

The tanks you linked to actually take the regular sized boges as per Chrissie's post

The tank just means you don't need to top up so often but unless you buy cartos that already have a hole in you need to buy a hole punch and diy

Why don't you just take up chrissie's offer, see how you get on then take it from there?

Don't forget you will need a drip tip for the 306. And when it arrives it will have a plastic cover on that needs removing and discarding
