Make your ego twist scale legible

Got me a (cheap) Ego Twist from Vapo today.
Works great but I couldn't read the dial without a magnifying glass.
It's not so much the size, but lack of contrast.

Had a fit of inspiration and did the following:

i) (optional) mask off the bottom of the battery tube with some sellotape

ii) take a permanent marker (I used a red one) and carefully
colour round the twisty part, all the way around

iii) buff off with a tissue before it's dried on too hard.

The etched scale is now legible (with a bit of squinting)

Macca also suggested using a pencil for a similar result Dom, there's a before and after picture floating around somewhere.
