Hi, I got my Vivi Nova a few days ago and it works great. I got my lavatube yesterday and up until tonight the LT and the Nova were working together perfectly. Now I get nothing. When I press the button on the LT with the Nova attatched it seems to fire up as I can hear a sizzle but when I draw on it nothing happens. It justs feels really tight. I have tried the Nova on my Ego T and Riva and it works great and tried normal cartos on my LT and they also work great so it must be something that has changed in the connection between the LT and Nova. I would really appreciate any suggestions. Thanks

It sounds like the vivi has been screwed on a bit tight and pushed the centre pin of the LT down

You haven't said what version LT you're using, I run my novas and mini novas on a chrome V2 with a DCT plinth. The plinth sits nicely into the recess so looks tidier and gives the slots for air, hope thats helpful.Dave

Think Dave has something here, if its the chrome you are using, with the recessed ego connector, it could be an airflow problem. I use that setup myself, and if you put just a little too much juice in the vivi, because of the lack of airflow, when you draw on it, the juice is sucked into the centre tube in a straw like effect. It doesn't gurgle, and there is no noticeable sign that this has happened (not enough air) but you cant get anything off it. I'm not sure if this was the right thing to do, but it worked for me. I blew mine through from the drip tip end, into a piece of tissue I had over the screw thread end, (quite a bit came out,) until the tube was clear, cleaned it all up, cleaned up the LT connector, then continued vaping with long slow draws, until it was vaping like a train again, happy days. If you don't have the chrome version, then I just wasted 5 minutes of my life lol, never mind, hopefully somebody reads this and learns from my mistake not to over fill it. # #

Thanks oneday, I have been lurking, reading often, but not posting... Not just this forum, the footy forums I go on too. Got a bit more time on my hands at the minute though, so everyone has to put up with my ramblings again.

Hi, I tried this and nothing came out I am using the chrome version 4.0 and yes I think I did over fill it. I appreciate your help and hope you can suggest anything else

Ok, so when I unscrewed the Nova there was a tiny gold screw thing stuck to the screw end - bit like screw from a watch but with prongs?? Please can you tell me if this is the connector and what should I do now Many thanks

IF you want to fix the airflow temporarily whilst you wait for a plinth (or permanently in my case, I'm a tight arse) you could cut a small U, or horse shoe shape out an old credit, top up, or similar plastic card, and put it around the screw thread of the vivi, making sure that one of the holes on the vivi is at the top of the U when you put it on the LT, if you get what I mean, will try and get some pics in a minute.

Right, so I did this real quickly, just to try it, you could obviously take more time about it, cut it down smaller and neater so that it looks better, or better still, is near invisible, but this is basically what I mean Youll need a card, and a pair of scissors, cut out a U shape like this... Make it so it fits around the screw thread of the Nova, and doesnt stick out the edges, also try and keep the air hole of the nova in the gap/top of the U shape, like in this picture. On it will look like this, well actually hopefully yours wont look this bad, as I said, take more time about it make it look smarter or invisible. Mine sticks out a little. The draw on it is so much better after this little addition, and it cost nothing Hope this helps. Or if you're not as tight as me, you could just buy a plinth, lol.

I really appreciate you taking the time to do this. Once I get my DD off to dance school I will try it. As soon as she spots a pair of scissors she wants to get involved
