Just wanted to pop in and say a big thank you to this board esp Scyllia and Chrissie but really to everyone on here for all the info and help.

I posted a question a few days ago because I had followed a hint from the MSE forum to here about buying an e-cig but was completely lost with all the differint sites and brands about. I wanted a good e-cig from a reputable seller but was totally boggled.

Well I was sent over to the Totally Wicked sale and today my Tornado arrived with a bottle of menthol liquid and 5 cartimisers (menthol too). I am a menthol cigarette smoker and although I know James is highly recomended as this was a christmas pressie I wanted to shop from the one place. I got the cartimisers because I couldnt figure out what the regular filled carts where, but I think I understand a bit better. I got this all for 36% off even though I forgot the 7.5% code.

I love my Tornado, its fab. Even after seeing the vids and reading testomonies I was still doubtful that it would be a smoking experince. But it is :0)

I am still getting used to the sweeter taste of the liquid base and still have a pack of proper cigs that Im dipping into but I really think this will work as a way for me to either cut down drastically or even stop completely.

But now a few questions....
This is a 510 model right? Can I buy replacement bits from other sellers or will I have to stick at TW?
How can I tell when I need to change or refill the bits and bobs?

Going to try & answer your main questions first, but please shout if we can help you further re your quandary about Cartomisers versus ordinary carts (don't want to bamboozle you with too much info to begin with )

The Tornado is a Janty eGo & yes you can buy replacement parts from other sellers. All 510 atomisers & cartridges/cartomisers will fit it. I'm going to have to leave it up to others however to advise on which of the "Tornegoriva" (Lol that's a combined name for some of the many similar models out there ) type batteries are compatible with your charger.

As soon as as vapour starts to drop off, the first thing is to refill your cartridge/cartomiser. If that makes no difference, then try the other battery & put the on charge. If at some stage, neither of those things work, your atomiser may have died. Again more than happy to go into more detail

Aww thanks. I really love all the helpful and friendly advise here on this board. Its quite a confussing thing starting with the e-cig so I eally appreicate it. And everyone is so welcoming.

I am really enjoying vaping. Right after I wrote that post I found I was getting mouthfuls of liquid. Im thinking that its because I was getting over confident and sucking too hard. But could it be the cartimieser is too full? There is a gurgling sound happening. Or maybe because Im not holding the button down for the full drag? Its all a learning curve.

So I will notice the cart running out by the vapour being poorer? Im worried about horrid burning tastes that Ive been reading about.

I think when this one runs out Im going to try and refill. I think I read that you put some drops into the cover that it comes with and push it onto the cart thing slowly so I will give it a go and see how I get on.

Wotsit, the getting juice in your mouth may be due to the cartomiser being too full or your battery needing to be recharged.

Could I just check with you that you do have cartomisers rather than separate atomisers & cartridges?

It certainly sounds as though you bought cartomisers, is the "cap" whitish clearish silicone? If so, that's cartomisers.

With the 510 carto screw fitting being like it is, it's not quite so efficient filling it from the battery end so many users prise out the cap/s from the mouth end (I stick pointy tweezers thru the hole and lever it) and drip onto the stuffing from there. When I've done that, I turn the carto around so that the juice drips all around the inside of the rim, so's to spread it evenly over the stuffing. Then pop the cap/s back on (I say "cap/s" because some have an all-in-one cap and others have an outer and an inner).

As Chrissie said, there are a number of reasons why juice could be coming thru - that's the trouble with "components", you have to work out (usually by trial and error) which one is causing the problem

In the main forum you are likely to attract fellow Tornado & cartomiser users who will have first-hand experience - if you need further tips.
