I think I might be approaching 'understanding' now!
Quite scary really, since I have spent my entire life taking the path of least resistance.......
We all know it is futile.

Ive rewicked with .20 kanthal, using cotton wicks and no problems whatsoever. I dont call myself an expert at rewicking by any means though, just saying in my experience its ok. You're more of an expert than I am, as I've yet to 'go live' with a rewick, having only practised so far, but read it on one of the countless threads I've seen on the subject. I'd say the vast majority that I've read or watched on YouTube have gone with just the Kanthal, though.

Your coil is basically your heating element Jane, so it acts in a similar many to what you'd find in an atomiser or cartomiser . . . you've just built it yourself. If you do want to go down the rebuildable route with the Vivi's, I'd stick with Silica/Fibre Glass wick to begin with, as cotton you have to be a little more careful with to avoid burning. Lots of links here to what goodies you'd need . . . allaboute-cigarettes.proboards.com/index.cgi?action=display&board=shopping&thread=9354&page=1#210135

So sorry to be a pain but where's the cheapest place to get the basic rebuildable stuff for the vivi nova? Or do I just buy it all from cloud 9 as they seem to have it in? And what's this about leaky ones . Just chinese or UK as well? jane

I'd say get em from one of the UK Vendors, at least you KNOW they'll be of good quality and if you have a problem you stand a good chance of getting it sorted out with minimum fuss.

Yeah I mean by the time you've paid postage they're not much cheaper from china
Yeah and what about wicks and coils? where is the best place and cheapest place to get those from? Where would you folks recommend?
And what's this about the clockworks RDA - for starters what does RDA stand for and what does it go with (presumably it's something to do with attys?)

The coil heads are only £2.50 each (minus discount) and if you're inclined are one of the easiest things to re-coil. As you vape pretty heavily they should last a week maybe a bit longer if you give then a rinse every couple of days.
