A bit of electrical contact cleaner sprayed directly onto the switch assembly will sort your LT fire issues..From what I understand if you do this once in a while they should be reasonably reliable. If you buy a kick, you'll have to use a smaller battery in the same mod so again trade off in terms of battery capacity..You only use the kick for a fully mechanical mod..Not in an LT or provari as far as I know.. A kicked precise is very good I am told.. ive read this but also read from trog i believe it was that any spray would not be good for circuit boards and that there is a strong possibility that it could get into the boards. so im a bit apprehensive doing that. its hard to use everyones advice and ive not heard trog proved wrong very often if at all. if i was to spray it i assume you mean battery out and use the straw type adapter and just give it a short burst on the black button housing what product would you suggest?. raggy...........

Only you can tell whether your vaping needs warrant a Provari or not Raggy . . . although I will say as the owner of both a V1/V2 & a V1 Lavatube . . . the difference in the vaping experience is considerable . . . for me.
That's NOT to take anything away, nor meant in a disparaging fashion towards the Lavatube as I think for the cost of it, it's a fantastic VV device . . . and I haven't tried the latest incarnation of it either.
I know you like to research things very fully before you do make a purchase and my way of shopping is alien to you, but sometimes you do have to take a leap of faith and go with your gut instinct . . . no matter how you view your vaping purchases or requirements.
Just my personal thoughts as a Kicked Silver Bullet is quite good as well . . . .

That's rubbish.. Electrical contact cleaners contain mainly isopropyl alcohol which is completely non-conductive. It will do absolutely nothing to any electrical/electronic components except clean them. The oxide layer that builds up in the switch contacts is the main cause of the LT mis-fire issues and needs cleaning once in a while. This happens in all switches but it seems to be particularly bad in the LT. Here is a mother board fully hooked up and running in a bath of isopropyl alcohol which is being used to keep the cpu cool instead of the traditional fan. If you need further convincing, Provape recommend giving the entire Provari a bath in iso propyl alcohol if you get juice in the device. www.provape.com/v/troubleshoot.htmI understand why it's instinctive to avoid liquids and electrical components to mix, but in this instance there is no danger whatsoever. Yes, remove the battery and use the nozzle attachment and give the switch assembly a couple of squirts. Any decent electrical contact cleaner from Halfrauds or Screwfix will do the trick..Just let it dry overnight before you use it because inhaling iso propyl alcohol is quite unpleasant..

Raggy . . . I love you wodges and wodges. But I couldn't part with either of my Provari's, you'd have to prise them from my cold, deaded bosom's. Go on, treat yourself . . . you deserve it.

No worries Raggy. They're the two devices I do use on a daily basis, so that tells you a lot as you know what I'm like for stuff. :-[
