I went on ecf to have a look to see what is for sale (im looking for a one owner provari v1, preferably with end cap and relatively new.) anyway it seems there is now a verification process in place, good idea but what a bloody pa-lava. i have a verified paypal and 2 100% ebay accounts, but do i really want to use that to get verified on ecf, i would have thought paypal wouldnt be very happy with ecf using them to verify people, although its in paypals interest as well i suppose. is this the only way to buy on ecf.
raggy?.

I doubt you will find a bargain on ECF ? Probably cost you more than a V2 new?

It's the only way, Ragjoy. Some people were getting cheated, so management decided to allow only verified members access to the Classified and Co-op sections.

It'd be worth your while to put a wanted ad on UKV Raggy . . . hi perpy, i agree but at the same time disagree, many times they go for too much really, considering they have had a ie a years use and have changed hands a few times. im a bit fussy about second hand at the best of times. although it has been a long time coming im set on the provari now and will probably end up with a new one, im such a careful owner that i expect the same with what i buy second hand and that is just hard to find without only being maybe £50 from getting a new one. asking on ukv would just encourage a top price and im put off buy that. im looking for the best of both worlds really ie low price but top condition and thats not likely to happen. so its likely going to be bite the bullet and get new. raggy.................

I'm the same really Raggy . . . I'm ultra fussy about my gear, so I've always bought ( with one exception ) my Mods from new . . . plus you have the advantage of the Vendor's warranty, for a few pounds more, I'd rather have that reassurance.
Plus, I'm always late to a good deal, but they seem to be fewer and further between now.

the things is i dont really need the v2 and i dont think they are selling the v1 in the uk now. i only use boges at present and only at 3.8 so in many respects the v1 is a bit wasted on me and the v2 more so. but having used the LTs for a while now i do prefer the constant vS that they give. i also use the battery tester which is handy. i dont really understand the new workings of the v2 or even some of the V1 . all i really grasp is you can use anything up to 5 volts on my boges or at least i can on the LT so i assume the provari wont restrict me as although they are LRs they are a higher ohm (I THINK).

The amp limit of the Provari V1 and the LT are theoretically the same..
The circuit in the Provari is of a better quality and will maintain set voltages better than a LT..

It wouldn't affect you in the least if you are going to be running SR boges at 3.8-4.0 volts...
In fact if you are using it at set voltages of 3.8 you might as well buy a ego-c twist for about 20% of the price of a Provari or stick to your LT for that matter..
Higher amp limits are purely for Dual and Triple coil users who like to run them at close to 5 volts..

Higher amp limits are purely for Dual and Triple coil users who like to run them at close to 5 volts.. that is my only issue with the provari, i wont use 90% of it capabilities. i need too read up on VV mods really. the thing is i vape as a means of nicotine supply only whereas most see it as a pass time (maybe not the right phrase). i wouldnt say i enjoy vaping like many of you do, i use a blunt tobacco flavor, i dont like flavors as many give me blinding headaches and even if they didnt im not a big fan of them. i simply vape to replicate smoking i suppose. the thing with the provari is it has (from what i read) the build quality and reliability. im enjoying the LTs but they are both a bit button temperamental, they dont fail too fire often but depending on pressure or angle of push you do seem to get a differing amount of power to them (maybe thats just me but the carto hiss does vary). i find the full LT an inch too long and the minis downside is the battery changing. the provari standard (without extension) size seems about right for me but at a very high premium for the way i will use it. id been using my touchwood 18650 this week but went back to the full LT yesterday and i prefer that indoors. i dont really know what other VVs there are to look at, maybe this kick thing is all i need. the the amp limit change in V2 is what i dont understand and how it would affect the way i would use it. raggy............... hi raggy had a v1 now have a v2 the only difference that i find is if i am using a rebuild atty where on the v1 the power goes down to 3.3 and v2 to 2.9 thanks eddy, the V2 wont affect my type of usage it seems. raggy............

A bit of electrical contact cleaner sprayed directly onto the switch assembly will sort your LT fire issues..From what I understand if you do this once in a while they should be reasonably reliable.
If you buy a kick, you'll have to use a smaller battery in the same mod so again trade off in terms of battery capacity..You only use the kick for a fully mechanical mod..Not in an LT or provari as far as I know..
A kicked precise is very good I am told..

I had hold of a new SS Lavatube yesterday at TW. I don't know a lot about this new version, what amps they put out etc but I will say it had a quality feel to it. Nice thick tube has a decent weight. I also like how you can put skirted atties on it without an adapter. I'll be having one then I don't have to take my provari to work in a bubble wrap bag!
