Still with the nasties!

Where am I going wrong? I'm still having days where I don't touch my ecig and am still smoking at least 3-4 a day granted its less than I was smoking but I can't seem to make the change over completely. I've got flavours I like and juice that's 18mg I feel like I'm wasting money on both fronts buying vaping stuff and cigs. Any advice to get me fully on e cigs would be helpful. I can't afford new kit at the mo since I'm still smoking and I know that if I stopped buying cigs then I could buy the riva I really want but I feel stuck between a rock and a hard place. Could it be I just have no willpower?

I know it must be very frustrating but please try not to give yourself a hard time. Smoking is a powerful long time habit and it isn't easy to quit altogether,
What type of e-cig are you using at the moment?

It's a smokers halo cig alike that I'm refilling with juice. The batteries don't last that long a few hours at most. The 18mg juice is more nicotine than the cigs I smoke which is strange but I've got lesser juice and i need to vape longer.

The nicotine level for juice is not the same as cigs, I used to smoke Marlboro/Mayfair lights, which are 0.8mg nicotine, but the juice I vape is between 14-20mg depending on the time of day and my cravings.

If you're chain vaping when you are vaping, then you must need more nicotine hun, 20mg+ will help with the cravings a lot more.

I only managed 3 days on a cig-a-like before I had to upgrade to a bigger battery, I think I would have found it too difficult to stay off the smokes on a cig-a-like too.

When we ramble on about back ups for back ups here, it's not only because some of us like having lots of gadgets
It's also so that you're never in a situation where you have to have a smoke, always have a charged battery.

I know you said you couldn't afford a larger battery yet, maybe keep an eye on the classifieds for a bargain, when I first started vaping I wasn't working, so I had to take a gamble my first week and spent my weekly cig budget on a vaping kit, thankfully it paid off...

Hi pixi,it sounds like you need a better device.It sounds like funds are tight but take a look at the kit in the link below.I started on Egos and stopped DEAD with the stinkies.You might want to get an 1100 Mah battery as they last a lot longer.

First thing is don't stress and think you have to make the switch immediately ! !

It takes most people a few weeks before they do , you are obviousley aware that you need to upgrade ,

if you pm me your address I'll put a spare (used Riva battery in the post , in the hope that someone will follow my lead with the offer of a charger or CE4 or similar , these items will be much better than the kit you are presently using I'm sure

Its probably because you cant get the full vape experience with the cigalikies and therefore needing a ciggie hit.

Theres nothing to worry about though, because lots find it hard to cut out ciggies completely when they start vaping.

Once you get your hands on the riva kit it`ll all get easier....

I managed to hang in there with a cig a like until my riva kit and juice arrived but I did have to resort to taking very long slow drags and holding my breath if I did start pegging for a rollie. I moved the ashtray away and put the tobacco papers lighters etc away up on the mantle piece so I knew it was there but it wasn't so easy to just reach out and have one. I have zero will power so I knew if I could do without just using a cig like then I would be fine once the heavier duty kit arrived. Just over one month on and the baccy is still on the mantelpiece untouched though the papers have been nicked by my still smoking other half
Don't beat yourself up over it, reading the threads on here some people switch straight away others take longer.
