I think its a browser problem rather than a forum problem.
I used to use Firefox and had similar problems sometime ago trying to log into forums. I changed to Google Chrome and never had a problem since.

Raggy, just after my last post ^^^ I saw you showing up as logged in & when I checked on your profile at that time, it showed you as last logging in @ 3.18pm.
I've checked on Proboard support about log in problems & they do mainly suggest the usual - clear cookies & Cache.
Kenny, I've heard so many good things about Google Chrome & will give it a try one day. I mainly stick with FF & so far not had any problems.

I just tried FF and it logged me in automatically. Chrome takes a bit of getting used to, Chrissie, cos you've got no menus like File/Edit/View/History, etc, along the top. Because of that, and me not being bothered to learn more about the workings, I just keep it for All About, Photobucket and a Windows Help forum I keep meaning to look at scylla

ie at the minute. if i login via ff the site shows me logged in, but im not. rejoining tells me im filling a wrong form (its like the site is not receieving the information). if i use the wrong password it tells me its wrong. done cookies cache and upped ff from 3.6.4 to 3.6.13 still the same. i cant being using this ie too much, i cant use squint and ctrl + gets on my wick after a while. so i will try to find out what the problem is. i cant even log into the proboards forums although i can read it. raggy..................

Perhaps FF did a revert to default settings or some such Raggy - the Ebay account that I had problems with on FF kept on coming up on the log in page with the account's old id rather than the new one I've been using for the last 6months or more. Then I had problems trying to access any info.
Although, I've really no idea what I'm talking about as this stuff is all beyond me!
Glad you're all sorted though.

I'm trying to think what on earth would have blocked the Proboard Cookie - no wonder you where having problems with it blocked.

I'm trying to think what on earth would have blocked the Proboard Cookie - no wonder you where having problems with it blocked. in fire fox it auto blocks dodgy sites from cookieing you, somehow it had claimed allaboutecigarettes. no idea how or why, between me and a guy on proboards we tried various things one of which was the blocked list it was not there last night........ well i suppose it must of been....... no idea how though. raggy...........

Raggy, I've been using FF all the time since creating this board & never come across this problem. What add ons are you using & what AV?

Apparently Proboards suffered a DDoS attack today so there's been log in problems . . . seems to be mended now though.
