hi all, first post of many i hope. i bought 2 kits 901s from e-cigs along with a small bottle of juice regular tobacco 2.4 strength. with regard to the juice, when you take of the lid there is another drip type lid when i tipped it up nothing came out,am i using this right? i took this piece off the bottle and used the dropper (also supplied) and topped up a few drips then place the dropper in the bottle and used this as the new lid,is this ok? i know this is the first day half rollies half efags, but i did find it a bit strong and not that pleasant if im honest. i started with a sample high cartridge 1.8 i believe and have topped it with 2.4 after it seemed to have stopped vaporing (i probably had the equivalent of 5 fags, the 2.4 dont actually seem any stronger, but as i say im not mad about the taste,is there anything i can add to it to change the flavour? and is it glycerine you use to water it down if needed? any advice will be great. thanks ragjoy........

Hello & a very big welcome to you Ragjoy When you say you bought from e-cigs do you mean www.e-cigs.co.uk/store/? (so many suppliers with similar names) Simon is a brilliant supplier to choose, never heard a bad word about him. However, I've not actually bought e-lquid from him myself so not sure about the droppers supplied with his bottles. All I can say is that whatever method, you just need to drip about 4 or 5 drops into the cartridge (mouthpiece stuffing) & for good measure a couple of drops into th open end of the atomiser.

Oops missed out lots in my first reply Flavours are a matter of (required) tatste. Honest you will after a while find a juice you prefer to the taste of real cigs Adding glycerine will cut the flavour & the strength of the nicotine (plus will make your juice go further for less money)If you add a lot of glycerine, you may have to thin it down with distilled water.

ive just tried a LOW sample cart and this seems a lot better, dont hit the throat as much etc,why does the high give a bigger throat hit than the low if the only difference is the nicotine?

Ragjoy!!! This is V, I can hardly believe you've made it at last I keep funny hours so I've not long woken up and seen the email alert from MSE to say you posted there, gone there and seen yours and Chrissie's posts, come back here to find you... sorry you don't like the flavour of the juice, have some flowers in compensation: Regarding the complicated caps, the e-cig "industry" has been plagued by Health & Safety watchdogs, you've come up against one of the child-proof versions. Yes, just use the dropper as the lid now. I can't understand what that "inner" cap/gadget is supposed to do, I couldn't get anything to come out either. I usually buy squeazy bottles if I can, several suppliers use them. If I buy the dropper bottles I usually decant the juice into a squeazy, and I mix in squeazy bottles too. I'm hoping you will get thru the initial period - it can be fiddly and faffy, yet some people sail thru it. In the end I advised you to buy from Simon because I knew there was no question that if you received faulty gear it would be replaced - most of the suppliers are very good about that, but it's traumatic telling someone where to spend their money :-[ When topping up cartridges I use some pointy eyebrow tweezers to squidge the stuffing and make sure the juice mixes in. However, I am very bad with carts so I usually drip 3 drops straight into the open end of the atomiser onto the "wire wool" inside. (One must be careful not to overdo it and flood the atty.) scylla

Ragjoy, yes you can buy the glycerine from Tescos & or a chemist. Same with the distilled water - mainly sold as de-ionised water.

im trying to suss it all out for the BIG day (monday) i just want to be prepared. Please don't put too much pressure on yourself - we repeat ad infinitum "Always count the fags you don't smoke, not the ones you do" Whilst we love our e-cigs, the hardware can be glitchy, you need to be very laid back, especially in the early stages when it's all so strange and different. I hope you can see already that e-cigs do have "possibllities" - and some!!! scylla

I've had one particularly nauseous bottle of plain tobacco flavour and enhanced it with some chocolate mint flavouring that I got from Totally Wicked and totally wicked it was too!! It also dilutes a bit if the nicotine strength is a bit on the high side. Fox
