Pam
Careful when you buy 18650's that they are not too long. I have some Torchy ones, great batteries, but too long for most mods.
The Xtar wp2II is a great charger for the money.

Seconded. I bought Sanyo's from him which are perfect for the LT and will be for the Gripper, but he doesn't seem to have any at the moment. Pam, the reason we are saying about the battery length, is, in case you don't know, the Gripper has a sort of flip over and lock battery cover, not a screw in one, so you don't want to be putting too much pressure on it.

The closer you can get to 65mm, the better. Flat top if possible as they tend to be closer to the correct size. When you get the Gripper have a measure of the battery and see how it fits, that will give you a good idea as to what you need. As you need to get a charger, you can afford to wait to check battery size etc.

Thanks guys I am reading up about these batteries and how to look after them, from what I gather I shouldn't let them go completely flat like the Rivas or overcharge them and I need to keep them in some sort of protective case when not in use.......is there anything else I should know about them? Thanks Pam

The circuit in the Gripper should prevent overcharging sometimes the batteries are sold with boxes, if not, this is what you need www.vapeescape.co.uk/clear-battery-case~350I do have spares that are double wrapped in little plastic bags, you just need to avoid them touching anything that is metal

Thanks Pam The gripper mod should cut out when the battery charge gets low so you'll have no problems knowing when to recharge. I charge mine each night regardless of how much use they've had. Never short these batteries out as they discharge a lot of power very quickly, so if you put them in your bag with some keys or any other metal objects you're just asking for grief. A battery case costs between a pound and £1.50, get one and transport batteries in that, Unless you have a high end charger I would suggest removing the batteries from the charger as soon as they are charged. That's pretty much all I can think of
