To twist or not to twist...?

Oh, b.t.w. cambo,

I got some SR (standard resistance) Kanger carts and I'm not going to make that mistake again. Very restricted "draw" on them with my RIVA.

They loosen up after a while, but next time, it'll be LR.

Thanks for all the advice guys. Think I'm definitely going to invest in a twist come payday, I just really want to be able to taste the flavours more so think this is the best way to go. I'm also going to take Ellen's advice and get an atomiser to try direct dripping ( I think that's the right term?) too.

I bought a twist a couple of months ago, silver one, and when I tried it I thought it was okay. Nothing special and I couldn't, still can't, see which way to twist to raise/lower the voltage ???
Reading through this thread again just now and I've got the twist out and giving it a go. I can get the general direction of change by the differnce in the vape and it is actually pretty Good I'm using it with a clearomiser and some Kola Kick from Vapeheads and it is pretty decent so I'll keep it going for a day or two. Keep this thread update cambo because I'm not getting enough flavour from the riva delux set up so need something else to give the taste a boost (boy this is a slippery slope I am starting on, I'm not even 24 hours in!)

There have been various suggestions for making the dial of the Twist more readable, from marking it with permanent marker to nail polish. I'm going to try making a circular sticker to go on the base like this:

I hold the twist under a light while squinting my eyes in a most unattractive way, to work out which way to turn the dial

The dial can be annoying. Once you've used them for a while though, you may find, like me, you can gauge where it's kind of at. Best way though is to just twist it a little and take a draw. Once it tastes nice, leave it alone lol.

OK, so i've just done an experiment - I can't seem to taste any flavours very much through my clearo's or carto's, but I still had some unused skycig carto's in cherry and vanilla hanging about in my vape box so I put them on my Riva - still not much flavour. But, I then put them onto the skycig battery and I can taste them much better.....is this because the batteries for the skycig are really low in power, and therefore if I got a Twist, with an LR clearo (nova etc) I would be able to taste it more? Or am a nutter and my train of thought is wonky due to too much rum.......?

More vapour and throat hit (and often taste) is achieved by higher wattage. Higher wattage is achieved by either lowering resistance or increasing voltage, or a combination of the two

I couldn't tell you mate, but I wouldn't mind some of that rum. Though I've probably had enough alcohol for one night.
