Hi Everyone,
I just got my Riva 1100 Kit to-day & am completely lost as to how to fill it never mind use it. I've been a smoker for 50yrs & stopped smoking a month ago by using the SkyCig. I decided to invest in a Riva after reading all the good reviews about it but I think I need someone to show me how to fill it etc., Just wondering is there anyone on this forum from Hebden Bridge, West Yorkshire who could help me get started.
I've read loads of posts about the Riva but maybe I should have started with something simpler to use. I don't want to go back to smoking again as I have a lung disease called COPD so I need to keep vaping. Can someone suggest a simple e cig I should get untill I can figure out how to use this one or some kind person have the patience to show/guide me on how to use this Riva.
I'm not thick but I think I'm just afraid of breaking it or doing something wrong. The SkyCig doesn't give me enough of a throat hit which is why I bought the Riva 1100. Every one on this board seems very helpful so I'm hoping there's some one who could please take the time to help this old Pensioner.
I'm going to ring Jason at Vape Escape tomorrow (Fri) but in the mean time I would be very grateful for any help from this forum. Thanking you all in advance, Deirdre aka MollyMoo

Hi Deirdre There's lots of very simple atomisers to use with your riva batteries if the ones you have are proving tricky. I'm sure Jason will be a great help tomorrow and the guys on the forum are very knowledgable and helpful bunch You're in the right place and glad you popped in to say Hi Cass

Hi Deidre, #welcome2# I'm sure we can help you get set up, I'm a bit far away in Bolton but lots of people here to give you advice over the forum. The first thing with the Riva is to check its switched on, press the button 3 times to switch it on or off and then you hold the button down while you take a puff. Did you get a little plastic clearomiser with the kit? If so you take the mouthpiece out, put liquid inside inside it, about 3 quarters full, put the mouthpiece back on, screw it onto the Riva and press that button and away you go

If she has the kit, then its cartos and at least one clearo.
Might be easier to explain filling and using the clearo.

If filling the clearomiser, try not to get any liquid down the centre tube.
It wont do any harm if you do, but once you put the drip tip on, remember to screw it a quarter turn for the last bit, then blow through it with a tissue on the bottom bit. This will blow any liquid out the centre tube.

Hi Mollymoo
Welcome and congratulations on getting your kit.
It all looks a bit daunting about now doesn't it?
This video shows you how to fill your clearomiser.
and when I got my first kit, I found this video really helpful for filling the cartos.
The clearo is probably the quickest/easiest one to get you up and running with minimal fuss but don't worry about how complicated the cartos look, within a week you'll be wondering what you were worried about.
Best of luck!

If Jason sends me a kit, I`ll happily do a video And same goes to Vapist and Imeo [/quote my opinion i feel its needed, and would really benefit others, seeing how something is done is always easier to take in and absorb the information, plus you can press pause on the video , replay it as many times as you like. for example: i had to watch on youtube how a carto was filled, step by step, paused it and replayed it, brilliant i thought. 3 days later i tried to explain to my friend this info and she just couldnt take it in. i found out here the info on my Riva, no probs, not to worry, it just must of been the odd kit without the instructions

Sadie
That's strange you didn't get the instructions, Jason normally sends them out with them (I have a kit sitting next to me for a friend with them in too).
MollyMoo
If you didn't get any instructions, I can scan in the ones I have here for you?

Sadie..... Dont ever worry about asking any question..... Honestly, we are more than happy to help you, or anyone with any queries.
We all learnt the same way. Its not like lighting a ciggie, so obviously more difficult to learn.
