Quick question for you modders out there,
Which glues are safe to use for sealing ect. ?
I have a kanger t2 which I love and im all set up for re-wicking ect. But after reading about tanks cracking with some juices, I thought I'd look at the possibility of changing the polycarbonate tube with stainless if it happens to me.
I have access to a lathe (allbeit old and kranky) so getting the tube to the right size shouldn't be a problem. But I don't want to use a glue that might leach stuff into the juice. Heat doesn't seem to be a problem where the seals are.
Any Ideas? Cheers

This isn't something I'm too sure about I'm afraid, but I' sure there will be someone here with experience in tank mods that could help

The gents in the know will tell you Munky, when they're next online.

Cheers for the link warlordxxx, I've read that thread before, good info for repairs but all glues for plastic. This would be metal to metal, I've done some digging around since posting. I think a marine grade epoxy would be ok. But if you don't hear from me again, its not

Had a look at the specs sheet, and I think it would work to seal. But its a silicon and I don't think It would have the strength. God, im a fussy bugger Think im still gonna go for the epoxy. Think it would be safe enough in this situation and I put parrafin in my mouth for a living so I figure that will probably kill me first.

It seems to me, you are modding something that is so cheap, I'm not sure it's worth the hassle.... just buy a new one "if" your tank cracks. It's worth it for the personal enjoyment though

To be perfectly honest no one knows quite how juices will react with which glues given the wide variety of both.
The safest bet right now is to use food safe silicone sealants and adhesives, or dental cement or cured potting epoxy compound which is impervious to almost any corrosive.
