Webcam Recording

Ok so I have moved through a number of different aspects of vaping very quickly (IMO), from the humble skycig, to getting refills, on to a riva kit, bought a mini nova, built my own VV tin mod, and now added an ego twist to my collection, and have an Aga-T on the way.

I have already written a review and a how to guide, and was looking for the best way to make video reviews/guides.

I have a webcam built in to my laptop (who doesn't these days) and a USB webcam, and was looking for some software I could use to record vids then publish to youtube.

I know many here already do this kind of thing, so was wondering what do you use??

Microsoft Live Essentials includes a program called movie maker, would that work?

hadn't thought about trying that, as I always thought it was more for editing, will download and take a look

nope, that only works for editing and compiling videos you have already recorded

Most webcams come with some sort of recording software, did you not get any with yours.

I presume you want to record vaping related vids rather than the other type of vid, Or should we be keeping an out out for your acting debut on other non vaping related websites which host over 18 content. #icon_rofl#

lol meeee mainly vaping related, although you never know

the USB cam I got was just a simple plug and play job, no CD at all and the built in one on my laptop only has a really basic software installed, which is a little pants for an HD cam

Nope, has an option for recording straight from the webcam into the program

Yeah I was having issues with the webcam I bought recently - file sizes were massive -

I think the program you want is called SMRecorder- you can get it here from Cnet:

disclaimer - I'm at work at the moment so can't be certain this is the one I ended up installing - I'll check when I get home and repost if I was wrong...

thanks guys, will look in to these, my brother has told me I should have got cyberlink youcam bundled with my laptop, so will pay a visit to HP and get it.

Will give them all a try and see which I get on with best

I use my Tablet camera and just upload it to youtube, very eay.

I did hear there was some honey event happening, but I'm not really into the bee keeping conventions, went to 1 once, never again, it was soooooooo boring

I do mine on my phone lol, takes on average 8 hours to upload to youtube

ok guys, as some of you might have seen, I have posted my 1st review video allaboute-cigarettes.proboards.com/index.cgi?action=display&board=eliquid&thread=13105&page=1#262752

I tried everything listed here, and ones I had suggested by Todd, and have got it down to 2 programs to record which are youcam, and manycam, and have been playing with windows movie maker and movieplus starter edition for the editing and effects.

The video posted is made using youcam and then edited using windows movie maker.
