I felt I should sign up and pay you guys a visit Thanks Chrissie for posting the link, thank you so much to the AAE-C members for Joining Jack's Team, a special thank you to JayJay who sold his Silver Bullet and donated the proceeds to Jack, truly awesome! Thank you to the members on UKV for continuing to add to the growing total which is now almost half way to the £1k target, I know we can reach it by Dec 31st. Yesterday my wife and me went to visit Jack and we had a lovely afternoon. Jack was in 'entertaining' mode and once he had done his curious-but-coy bit we had two hours of rough and tumble, 'donkey' rides, feet-tickling, raspberry-blowing and general mayhem. Jack made lots of eye contact, accompanied by his charming smile, and was communicating, even though the words weren't too clear; he was obviously enjoying himself and we certainly were. We got some video clips and photos and these will be passed on to the guys at VTTV for editing and hopefully viewing soon. All the time, effort, and resources that so many people, many of them strangers, are contributing is making a real difference to Jack and his family. Jack has made good progress this year and the Son-Rise programme is helping towards unlocking the doors that threatened to separate his world from ours. He's such a beautiful young lad full of love and life and has family and friends around him to ensure it is reciprocated. I felt priveleged yesterday, that Natalie and Mark let me 'borrow' their son, and that Jack accepted me enough for us to have a couple of hours of interaction. When we left, having spent over two hours instead of the expected one, I got a hug and a kiss and a smile. As we were getting into our car my wife pointed out that Jack was standing on the window sill watching us go, so I had to climb on the car and wave back to him! Jack's cause is a most worthy one, but more than that he is a lovely human being who just needs some help and lots of love. I hope I can bring a little of him to you and say thank you on his behalf. Best wishes John The T-shirt reads, 'I am the Stig's fat cousin', but to Jack I was just a donkey! £483.50 raised - Target is £1,000

Lovely to see you here John & thanks for posting When I first moved down to Cornwall, the first friend I made was with an autistic neighbours son. 11 years ago, he could hardly speak to anyone, but he has changed so much. Many years ago when I was living in Sussex, a colleague's daughter was attacked & left for dead. She survived but was unable to speak or move We all grouped together to help her - not just to raise funds but to help with, at that time, a virtually unknown therapy in the UK. We had a rota going to make sure that every day 5 of us would spend our lunch hour/evenings/weekends helping her to gently move her limbs & head - I think it was called patterning? It took a long time but the results where amazing.

It's showing up as another donation from Lynda.. I've asked John if he can chage it to ''figgysal''.... Didn't want anyone to think I was trying to cheat to get another 'ticket' for the raffle.
