Politeness first - hello all, newbie here *tips hat*. I've stumbled on you via a search - I need help please, and you look like the place to come! I'm a new convert to the e-cig world and, as many (it seems) have come in via the Skycig route. Whether they are/aren't the best isn't the issue - for the last month they've saved me in hotel rooms, non-smoking events, at home... put it this way: I'm pleased . Problem - about an hour ago one of the batteries stopped working but the light is on permanently. Searching has told me to blow in the hole (no effect), tap on hand/hard surface (no effect) so - help? Anyone? Is it a defunct battery? Thanks!

The auto switch is stuck....try sucking hard on it or even drip a little vodka in the hole if you got some.

Hi Sancerre
I've been using Skycigs about a month and I've had a couple of batteries go that route. All I can say is I tried the usual suggestions but never managed to make either of them work again.
More worryingly, one of them developed the fault when it was on charge and things got quite hot - I was lucky it didn't damage the charger which would have been a lot more expensive. So it may be worth making sure you unscrew them as soon as the charged indicator starts flashing.

Thanks MadDan - it's a return then, I guess. Although I am intrigued - albeit slightly worried - about the vodka idea!

It washes the switch...it probably got some dried juice in there whichhas Madeira stick....medical grade alcohol would be better but most people have vodka in rhr house

Hi sancerre, I can't help with the battery issue, other than to say it's either broken or or the switch (auto battery?) is broken, so either way.. I'm not going to say anything about your skycig, but have you stopped the fags?

Aha, that makes sense! Thanks but it didn't work. Blue light still very blue. Hi djsvapour. Honestly? Nope. But I'm down to a third/half (depending on the day) of what I usually smoke, so got to be going in the right direction, no? millerkev - I have the kit, the batteries and have just reordered a shed load of carts. So for now, Skycig is staying as my NBF.

So for now, Skycig is staying as my NBF. Honest too. Skycig might just have a thread (for the carts) that matches other e-cig/vaping gear. I spent 3 months (long and hard, not to mention my fingernails) using a similarish e-cig. Then I discovered why I couldn't quit. Skycig carts aren't bad value overall, so if you could fit them to better batteries, you could be in business. Just a thought, I'm not deliberately running down the whole skycig thing.....I mean, I started on E-Lites

Skycig cartos are 306 threaded so will fit 510 batteries and vice versa if memory serves..
Once the auto switch has juice ingress, it's nigh impossible to clean it through the membrane..I have tried and even with de-soldering the switch and dunking in IPA I have only had mixed results..Not really worth the time and effort unless you like doing these things..

I started the same--the good old skycig--I soon found the carts cartos got right on my nerves--flipping out the little plastic thing etc etc.I give up and went back to my beloved rollies--then a relative (who vaped a long time)sent me a ego bat and a clearo and I have never looked back--I have various things now and have not had a rollie since last saturday--This is from someone who shifted 50 plus a day.So keep on keeping on its worth it.
