i need to send a parcel to Australia it needs to be signed for and have online tracking as well as being insured for £200 my guess would be to pop to the post office and see what they can offer but was wondering if you guys had any other ideas oh and the package is small... about the size of a 5ml juice bottle thank you please

Not the cheapest but it keeps your parcel with one company and offers track and trace, there are other companies but Id say with something valuable Id look for reputation as well as insurance, try DHL. parcel.dhl.co.uk/packages-to-australia.php#

ISF is only of use IF the parcel is signed for and IF Oz post update their website.
I'd be inclined to make the parcel a bit bigger so it aint so losable & get some competitive quotes from couriers.

When I've sent gifts to America it was £15 for signed for a small parcel from the post office,
So insured up to £200 with a parcel company to Australia for £50 might not be far off, though I agree it sounds steep....

Did you find anything yet? £50 sounds about average, can get it for £32.68 over at www.worldwide-parcelservices.co.uk though - £7.50 extra for £250 insurance, so just over £40 might be a better option?

Last time I sent something to Aus it was £36, under 500g £100 insurance and via DHL, that was a few years a go so £50 sounds about right - Royal Mail is your cheapest best bet, will really depend on weight though
