OMG, just glanced at my banner and noticed that I have avoided 1080 fags since I gave up! That's a serious amount of tobacco by anyone's book - Foxfan, you too could save that amount of abuse to your body in about 6 weeks, and just think of the money you'll save!! (Won't mention the shineys!)

Hi all, firstly, thanks so much for all the support the other night. I was on a right downer and on the verge of buying tobaco, but with your help, i didnt, still havent and my vaping kit arrived in the nick of time. Gotta tell you i am really impressed with my new vaping stuff. I bought a Joytech EGO C Passthrough 1000mah, Boge LR Cartomiser 5 pack and a Dual Coil cartomiser. I didnt buy any liquids as i was given some Alba Venom 8mg pg/vg mix and some mistEliquid virginia 11mg. It works really well for me, but a bit more throat hit would be nice. Any advice from you guys will be more than welcome

Nicotine level sounds too low to me. I think that's the main problem especially considering you're using LR Cartomisers.

Glad you got it,you may need a slightly higher nicotine content when starting out,unless you want to keep it low,I use around 18 mg,although I am using one that's 12 at the moment

This is great advice, im so pleased and impressed that its here. I had no idea it existed. I just need some advice on my setup now cuz i am forever topping up my cartomizer and have heard about tanks and stuff i havent a clue. Also, there is a large thread around the top of my ego t near where the cartomiser screws on. Whats that thread for ? Sorry if im asking these questions in the wrong thread, just keen to learn and like a kid in a swet shop :-)

Like Chrissie says it can be better than smoking, but like pedaldog says, it's a journey.

You start with something (like your Tescos stuff) which is just barely acceptable as a replacement, and then you find something a bit better, then a bit better than that, and so on. With vaping, once you know how, you can control the taste, the throat hit, the nicotine. So if you spend the time you can find what is right for you.

Like nearly everybody here who has been vaping for more than a few weeks I now much prefer vaping to smoking.

The important thing is to stick with it. Don't beat yourself up if you have the occasional cig - count the ones you don't smoke, not the ones you do.
