Like Chrissie says it can be better than smoking, but like pedaldog says, it's a journey.

You start with something (like your Tescos stuff) which is just barely acceptable as a replacement, and then you find something a bit better, then a bit better than that, and so on. With vaping, once you know how, you can control the taste, the throat hit, the nicotine. So if you spend the time you can find what is right for you.

Like nearly everybody here who has been vaping for more than a few weeks I now much prefer vaping to smoking.

The important thing is to stick with it. Don't beat yourself up if you have the occasional cig - count the ones you don't smoke, not the ones you do.

If you can get off smoking with those disposables from tescos (10 motives?) you can do it. Hopefully your kit will arrive sharpish and you can start vaping proper.

You can change the throat hit a bit by the way you vape. Try taking a long pull, hold the vapour in your mouth for a moment, and then suck it into your lungs.
What some people do is take a short pull before the long one. The short pull wakes the battery up (depending on your set up) and so you may get a hotter vapour.

And some people draw in air at the sides of their mouth while they inhale. Then again, some people who try this just cough and splutter .

If none of that works, we have to start to work on the juice you use, and if that fails, the kit you use. It gets kind of technical, but you can get more throat hit from a vape than from a cigarette if that is what you really want.

Hang in their m8 look on youtube type e-cig and loads of videos to chose from that's where i got my information
and also looked at a few forums before i decided this is the best one.
only thing is you've got to watch out for is don't go mad in buying this and that take it slow you'll get their in the end
and wonder what you've been missing.

If you can get off real fags with one of them, you may as well give up both. Since you probably will have dropped your nicotine intake 75% of the way to zero.

Go for it Foxfan! Hope your kit arrives pronto and that you get a good TH and vapour. I gave up 7 weeks ago, and haven't looked back since - you'll love it and never want to go back to the tobacco.
Don't forget that your body (and brain) will be wanting the 'comfort' of a real cig, when as soon as you get vaping properly all those hooks will be dulled and you will start to appreciate just how good vaping is.
