HI, sorry to be a downer but i stopped smoking for Stoptober and was gonna smoke again on November 1st but discovered vaping. That was working okish but my proper vaping kit hasent arrived yet and im surviving on the ones you buy in the Tesco garage. To make things worse, my Son has kicked off that I am a bad parent, and i was sooo close to buying tobacco tonight. Is vaping proper as good as smoking ? cuz i am so close to buying tobacco. Cant cope

It certainly is when you're at the pub in this weather and you see all the smokers come back in shaking with runny noses.

I get a real buzz being able to vape in the pub. Probably sounds daft lol.

I never intended to stop smoking, just cut back, however, I have proper stopped due to vapin' & I was a heavy 20+ a day chap.

Don't put yourself under pressure though, depending on the type of kit you have bought you will notice a massive difference & cost from what you have bought at Tesco.

I keep a couple of those 10motives at the office, in the car etc just in case I end up separated from my kit

Hi Foxfan. I hope you manage to get through until your Good Kit arrives. Vaping can be brilliant and, even if you don't hit the Green Light straight away you can still work your way down over a period. Main thing is don't stress so much that you just give in!

Thanks so much for being there. I ordered my starter kit on thursday and thought itd be here Saturday but it didnt. maybe it'll be here monday. I f I can get a good throat hit, that is what i need from a vape. Is that possible as i cant get that from the vape cigs at the minute

I don't want to overwhelm you with information, but if you tell us what you ordered we can help you achieve a good throat hit. The juice you use, strength and what you put on top of your e-cig all make a difference when it comes to throat hit in my personal opinion.

You can certainly get a good throat hit from an e-cig if you get the right kit - I used to smoke small cigars and it works for me.
