Well I've spent some money!! Not much I admit but I thought that to help me cut down on my 3 ciggies a day that I would up my battery and also my nicotine level so today I ordered from Vape Escape a Joyetech eGo-C Twist VV 900mah in Stainless Steel and 30ml Bottles of Silky 24mg juice plus some Boge 510 Low Resistance Cartomisers also in Stainless Steel so it should look a nice set up as well.
So that lot should keep me happy, I'm hoping that the combination of 24mg nicotine and more umph from the Twist might, just might put me down to just the one or two ciggies a day, if it doesn't then I'm still not bothered as I'm sure as hell going to enjoy myself vaping away on that combo. I checked with Jason first before putting in my final order that they would all be compatible to each other and he said they would so hopefully this time tomorrow night I will be sitting here with a big cheesy grin on my face - I shall report back tomorrow. ;-)
I've got some Menthol which I mix a little with the Silky and gives a really nice taste, it should work out the same as what I'm vapeing now but with more vapour and more of a throat hit which I'm hoping will satisfy me more than what I'm using at the moment and hence not requiring all 3 ciggies I'm smoking at the moment - we shall see. I will give it a couple of days and if I like the Twist then I will order another one so one is charging while I'm using the other.
Graham

I keep thinking I should spend a little on something to vaping up a notch to cut out the roll ups I keep rolling up Problem is, every time I go to buy something it's sold, gone, out of stock, discontinued, thinking of trying mesh wicks in the Nova next I do think that my upping the vaping experience I should be able to cut it out all together, or at least go back to my one a day Enjoy your new purchases

Graham, let us know how you get on with the Twist (((Tim))), you have been going through so much, don't be hard on yourself, give yourself a bit of time ....but time waits for no man ??? where's that from? ah, Iron Maiden, that's saved a headache. Thing is, vaping is good, it just could be better, and if something is better.............maybe life will be better, and I know it won't be Thought I'd cracked it the other week, was about to get a VST, and then got brought back down to reality by the vaping pros - money saved, but a little disappointed, Just to add, the Twist is brilliant, especially for hitting the flavour spot

Graham, let us know how you get on with the Twist ... WOW!! My Twist arrived this morning Chrissie along with the other stuff I ordered so I assembled it after filling one of the LR carts with the 24mg Silky juice and set it on the lowest setting, I took a couple of drags and it was OK, nothing special so I set it to about 3.8 and that was better, reset it to to about 4.2 and that was more like it, loads of vapour and I could really feel it, set it to the max and got that horrible burning taste but even more vapour so I topped the cart up and tried again and this time no burning taste but I was obviously pushing it to it's max so I set it back down to just over the 4 mark so about 4.2. I have been using that setting for about 1/2 hour now and it's awesome, so much vapour now and the 24mg is certainly making a difference. I'm blowing vape rings with no effort and crack backs are a breeze, two long drags and a deep inhale and I'm smoking again without the smoke, 4-5 exhales and there is still vapour being breathed out so ideal for me and just what I was after. If this carries on and the satisfaction I'm getting with this then I can't see the point of my 3 ciggies which again was the whole point - why didn't I get one of these before? ;-) If anyone is struggling to keep off the fags then this could be a solution for you. Obviously this is early days yet as I've only been using it for 1/2 an hour but it's looking very good so far. I'll let you know tonight how I've got on during the day as that will be a fairer comparison. Graham

Great news Graham You will get through more juice at higher voltage/lower resistance, so don't let yourself get short

Great news Graham You will get through more juice at higher voltage/lower resistance, so don't let yourself get short Funny you should say that because I was thinking that as well. I did say that if this combo worked out OK then I would get another Twist to keep on charge and you're right about the juice, I will get through more so I will add another 30ml bottle of 24mg to the order as well, that should keep me stocked up for a while. I just thought that I'd let you know how I got on with my new shiny stuff today. First up, it's very easy to set up, the battery came with a good charge so there was no need to have to wait for it to charge up before use (which is always a pain) so that was a goos start. The LR carts were dead easy to fill so after that was done it was just simply screwed on to the Twist and this is the finished assembly with a drip tip added as well. The next thing was to try it out and you can read in my first post my first impressions so I won't bore you with that bit but I have now been using it for most of the day especially this evening and all I can say is that this has totally transformed my vaping experience. I really didn't think that it would make this much of a difference. I've read many times on this forum how VV batteries can make a big difference but to be honest, I for whatever reason, chose to ignore it. Bad move on my behalf I was so wrong. This set I've got now is awesome. As you may be aware, I have been allowing myself a max of three ciggies a day plus my vamping, I had one cigarette this morning before all this arrived this morning and have not had the need to have any other cigarettes today, in fact I haven't actually even thought about having one. I think that this is down not only to the fact that I can now produce a huge amount of vapour but also I'm using 24mg nicotine instead of the 18mg which combining both of these together is giving me enough of a hit not to need a smoke of any sort. During the day I have been experimenting with the different settings on the twist and have found the best one for me at the moment being 4.4V, this seems to be just right for me, just the right amount of vapour without any burning taste from the cart. I initially had a bit of light headiness to begin with which I'm putting down to the increase in nicotine but tonight that seems to have lessened quite a bit, it's a bit like when I first started smoking. I shall wait for the power to start going down on the battery and will crank the voltage up a bit just to see if it does compensate for the battery going down a bit. Anyway, to sum up, a great piece of kit. It suits me down to the ground and really pleased with it in every way, the look of it but the most important thing - the job it does in satisfying my smoking requirements without the need to smoke. Just a couple of things to watch out for and that is the overall size is quite large coming out to a total length of 165mm (not including the drip tip) and the other thing is that the numbers on the base to dial in the voltage are very small and are hardly visible, but this is only a problem if you are continually fiddling with it which you will do initially but after you have found the setting which suits you best then this doesn't matter too much. I hope that this helps others on here who may have had the same problems as me with the initial vaping problems, if you have then this may be a suitable solution for you, it's not hugely expensive even with the LR carts so maybe worth a punt. Graham

graham well done pal glad you find it to your liking one thing tho pal and anyone can correct me if im wrong but..the power form your twist wont go down like normal batts i believe that it will stay at whatever you set it at untill it requires charging so if you got it at 4.4 it will stay there not gradually decrease with less battery life

Graham the other big advantage of the Twist is that the power on the battery won't go down - it will keep giving you that 4.4 all the way through the discharge Edit - crossed posts with Kev

GLad you like it graham! 4.2-4.4 is my preferred level on the twist too, I find any higher gives burning taste so curious as to why things like provari go higher?

That's even better then, I obviously got the wrong end of the stick when I watched the video, thanks for putting me right because I would have been waiting for the battery to gradually go down. Doh! - it's an age thing guys, you'll have to make allowances for me at being 63. Graham
