Is there 'The perfect Vape?'

Hi all,
I need a bit of advice please.
I have been vapping 6, 7 + weeks and have bought a variety of gear to find what works best for me. Have tried Heep's of juices and mixing me own now which for me is the best part of Vapping, not the mobs or the tanks ect like in the beginning.
But i am left wanting a bit more. I will never smoke again because i enjoy vapping i don't want for fags at all now BUT is it like the surfer waiting for the perfect wave?
After trial and error i have found what battery's, tanks ect that i like, what i take to work and what juice i enjoy BUT (too many buts going on here sorry) I'm left wanting abit more flavor and throat hint the last week or so.
There are people saying yummy on threads and I'm thinking that's nice but not yummy or fantastic. Am i searching for an imaginary perfect Vape, am i expecting to much?
Or could it be that because i brought my nova and DT tanks, cartomisers and 510 atomiser for dripping and tasting my mixes at about the same time they are getting past there best, working but not 100%.
I have made a few mistakes along the way while making my own juice like buying Vape 54 in VG but still used 70% PG 30% VG base and found it didn't wick very good and clogged the cartomiser so change them for new ones. Cleaned the 1.8 thingy in the nova buy burning off the gunk till the coil glowed red which helped for a bit.
What has made me write this thread is cornflakes thread and she seemed to be wanting a bit more as well.
Are my Taste buds still shot from 25 years smoking? or is my Cato's ect past their sell by date?
I will be putting an order in for wick, coil wire, cartomisers ect but just wondering if anyone else went through this type of thing in the begging and wondering if anyone else is still looking for 'The Perfect Vape'
I tend to use:-
Fruit Juice and not tobacco.
70% PG 30% VG
1.8 nicotine
And DT Tanks and A mini Nova.

hi rich or should i say neighbour, i'm just down the road in faringdon! i know what you mean about searching for the perfect vape, its an elusive SOB. i'm using a zmax and genesis style tanks and they are excellent but even those after a while dont hit the spot all the time and i think its me not the kit i'm using, cartos do lose there effectiveness after a while and while i've never used the mini nova i do have a couple regular vivi nova tanks and i think freshly recoiled they are excellent but will start to under-perform after a while.

i'd be happy to meet up and give you some tips and you can try out my setup if you ever felt like it not that i'm any sort of expert but i have 7 months under my belt now and your only 15 minutes away

if you do ever reach vaping perfection be sure to share as we're all searching for it

It takes a little time I guess until you feel happy with what you are using. I seem to have found a real good combo in the Penelope and Alice in Vapeland White Rabbit. I've been vaping the stuff for over a month almost exclusively. I use it in the Spheroid too. I like the odd tobacco vape every now and then, and usually go through a Spheroid full (2ml) over a few days to break it up a little. I seem to be getting through around 2mls a day now. I just fill the penelope up each day. I've been vaping for almost 4 months. I've found about 5 flavours I really like and don't find the need to keep trying loads more. It might be worth considering a rebuildable atomizer.

i found i really like and dont get fed up with b&h from puffin and i also love their watermelon, i'm vaping cocomel at the mo which is nice and a couple of flavours from alchemist i'm enjoying but the b&h always calls me back, it tastes nothing like b&h cigarettes its just a very pleasant vape

It's personal I vape at home in the vapelair, trying out juices and attys. At work I'm on the cartos, since they don't know I vape yet - I'm not ready to be bleeding edge Sometimes I hop in the car and toke, and it's heaven. Other times in the vapelair I toot on a juice and it sends me. It's all part of the vaping experience I reckon Live life and enjoy it!

A bit of everything I think VV, your kit could be getting past it's shelf life, they are disposable items unless you rebuild your coils, a Variable Voltage battery of some description could up the anti for you, a Spinner or a Twist might be worth some investigation.


Juice wise, that's so individual . . . I've normally got at least 6 flavours on the go, which I hop between, that for me is the beauty and fun of vaping . . . having such a wonderful variety of flavours to sample and vape.

I've don't want nor look for an ' all day ' flavour, it would be boring for me . . . we're all different though and it's whatever works for you personally.

Perpetua I get bored of the one flavour too, but I honestly don't like other flavours. I've tried so many and a lot of them taste so artifical. I'm so happy Ellen recommended me that El toro juice it's been a life saver.

As long as you've found something that hits the spot for you Ewol, despite the trial/error/expense . . . that's the important part.

I hated the taste of cigarettes in my mouth and was permanently sucking mints to avoid that, so it hasn't been a great hardship for me to embrace other flavours . . . plus mainly mixing my own, I've the control over all the flavouring aspects.

I honestly believe that my whole experience of vaping has changed since I got into rebuildables, when you have a few atties on the go and they are easing off I would be looking for something all the time, I also find having VV ups things as well, I do have several flavours on the go but 99% of the time I was a RY4 person, now it is my own tobacco, picking up the odd 'other' flavours now and then for just a couple of vapes.

I think vaping is the spice of life changing juice set up etc is the only way to keep interested 9 months down the road have I found the perfect vape yes and no. At the end of the day vaping starts out in fooling us into thinking we are still smoking when in fact we are not ! Yes I have found my perfect vape but no I haven't found the perfect replacement for a cig although it comes close

Thanks for the replies everyone.
I would like to swop between a few juices through the day. I have had 3 flavors on three batterys at the mo.
I have a Twist and found a happy medium playing about with the Voltage.
I think i need to buy some more bits and pieces and wont be able to tell untill i try the juices i like on some fresh new coils.
I like to tinker and am going to replace the coils more often i thinks.
Wish there was a shop near so i could and get bits right now.

I have an all day vape, which is menthol, but I only call it that because its the one I vape the most, the one I'd usually take to work. At home i jump between flavours too, and I agree, it's what makes vaping so wonderful. I also find, even now after 9 months or so, that if I stick to just one flavour for too long, the flavour becomes muted to me.

vv............... my own "perfect vape" set up is my Penelope & Provari although I do like my Vivi's and Eternity with my LT & Twist

BUT at lot of people find their "perfect vape" with an Ego, Riva, Twist or LT and a Vivi or a reasonably priced re-buildable atty

When I first started vaping I bought a TECC mini-titan kit........ realised that this wasnt going to be good enough so bought a Riva, but even though the Riva was a very good battery I was always looking for the next best thing....... hence the Penelope & Provari lol

Juicewise....... each person has different tastes............ at the mo my Penelope is filled with my home made banana waffle and maple syrup e-juice and it is very nice

Its what you like that gives you the "perfect vape" recommendations can only go so far

I started off of with one of those kits my daughter-in-law bought and she convinced myself and wife to give
it try, from then it was a ego, vv lavatube, and now i have mechanical mod Legacy v1 with a 18650 batt, but since i had my first rebuildable tank, i can build a coil to vape at what resistance high or low i want and find this is the best vape for me AGA-T was a bargain, and i make my own juice and like a lot of other vapors i can change my liquid to what i fancy.
