looking for a sweetener

Hi all
im looking for a pg based flavour to sweeten up some bland flavours i have
any suggestions or links would be appreciated

If you'd just like to sweeten, with no flavour then Ethyl Maltol/Stevia/Sucralose will all do that Andy.

If it's sweet plus extra flavour you're after, then a few suggestions from me would be:

Caramel
Butterscotch
Vanilla
Maple Syrup
Bavarian Cream

Dulce de Leche . . . although not a sweetner as such, can also with a couple of drops, transform a boring mix.

I'd say no Oneday, because it isn't pure Stevia . . . you have to watch the liquids, as they very often contain other ingredients,

The white powder form is the best to go for.


I bought this liquid and it still has a bit of a taste undercurrent . . .

hmmm ok thanks - it seems impossible to get ethyl malto or stevia at the moment

Hang on Oneday, let me find a EM link for you . . . . plenty here, though they're not the quickest at posting, plus the postage is a bit hetic, but you do get a goodly amount for your bucks, which will last for ages.

There are quite a few stockists on Ebay of the white powdered Stevia, but I haven't studied the list of ingredients to see how pure they actually are.

Ages Oneday, this is the dilution concentration I've used, information taken from a US vaping site . . .


Ethyl Maltol is a very pleasant smelling chemical that is used as a flavorant for the food, beverage, tobacco, and fragrance industry. Ethyl Maltol can be described as having notes of caramelized sugar or cotton candy.

Ethyl Maltol can sweeten/soften sharp flavors in liquid, especially tobacco absolute.

Suggested dilution: Dissolve 1/4 teaspoon of Ethyl Maltol crystals in 10ml of PGA (Pure Grain Alcohol).

Diluted mixture can then be added to your liquid. Start with one or two drops per 6ml of liquid. Add more to soften or sweeten liquid to your taste.

Hi Oneday,

Depending on the strength of the solution you want… 10grms of crystals when made up can give you about 100ml of EM concentrate.

Easy to make, put 1grm of crystals in a 10ml bottle then top up with 9ml of PG or VG or Alcohol (Vodka, etc). This is the strength of concentrate solution I use, it will last a good time as you don’t need a lot to sweeten / flavour mixes.

thanks for all your input, ordered my 1st batch of mixing ingredients last night, lol i hope i can get some good results or else im spending more than i was on smoking !

I think the only thing that we couldn't help you with, is some patience Andy . . . it really does help to have some when you're mixing your own, as so many flavours do benefit from some steeping/infusing time.
