hello and help a newbie

hi all, thx for having me.

been a smoker for 20 years and it`s kind of getting to me.so i have decided to try something new.
i need newbie help as in what to buy.
my main concern at the moment is cost, i need to make it as cheap as possible for a starter kit with some juice. i find it all a bit confusing as to what i fully need.
i did buy some cheap e-cig disposable from china but as you guess was bad !!

really appreciate some help here. looks like there are many good people on this board

Hi Andy & #welcome2#, what cigarettes do you smoke (rollies or regular cigs) and how many a day?

You're looking at an initial spend of £30 - £40 for a good kit then vaping costs about £10 - £15 a week, though it can be considerably less if you get into rebuildables and mixing your own liquids.

hi DiscoDes, ive been smoking rollies for years now and i guess no more than 20 per day.but saying that i have cut right down at the moment, i think i just need that hit on the back of my throat a few times a day now. and yes if it helps i would be looking at rebuilds and mixing with a little help.

At about 20 a day, a ciigie lookalike wont cut it for you - you would need to be recharging the batteries every couple of hours. So the best thing to go for to begin with would be an Ego/Riva - they are more cigar sized.

I think you must have crossed posts with my last reply Andy The kit I linked to in #4 has a 510 thread, so is compatible with parts that the majority of the good vendors stock

The kit that Chrissie (Admin) has linked to is a great kit for a newcomer to E-cigs, there's everything you need in there and enough liquid for a few days. If you do order it the vendor has put some good information to get you strted on the page, have a good read through and you could also have a read through the beginners section HERE.

Keep asking questions (we don't mind and no one will berate you) and we'll help you get started. You CAN vape and smoke at the same time you know, most people start this way and slowly and naturally find that the e-cig take over as their favourite nicotine delivery system.

Hi, just starting myself.

I've now purchased multi liquids from Vapourise allaboute-cigarettes.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=suppliers&action=display&thread=13802 using discount codes off here. I figure this gives me a good intro for £40(ish) with a selection of flavours to try. The ego exhale batteries can be used with plenty of other kit, I think, if I want to move on at a later date.

Hi Andy and welcome to the site, the kit Chrissie advised you to try is the one I am using and I find it fantastic, I have been vaping happily for just over 5 weeks and not had a fag since I picked my e-cig up! I couldn't be happier with it
