Let go off your button a second before you finish drawing and see if the problem subsides..
Even a very small quantity of condensation pooling in the battery well can cause continuous gurgling so the problem may be more condensation related if everything else checks out..

When I get a gurgling nova its usually condensation under the drip tip. I just remove the drip tip and mop out the metal cap, check its not dripped down onto the battery. Put it back together = perfect

Is it a genuine nova ? the cheap ones dont work anything like the real ones . I found out the hard way ( I got a mouth full of menthol ! ) The tanks i can use on my genuine ones though so im not out of pocket. Even the heads arnt compatable ,First thing I noticed was the metal tip has the pointy bit on top like the CE4 but.....we all learn from mistakes

out of interest suede, where did you get yours? It was from a reputable vendor. With all the assurances that they only sell the genuine articles. I'd rather not name them. Going to have another go at them today will post how I get on.

I've had no problems at all with my vivi novas and mini novas except for two and they have been too airy, gurgling and spitting juice into my mouth from the first time of using them. Cleaning, dry burning, or changing the heads and using a plinth hasn't made any difference. Both of these have the pointy heads, whereas the ones that I've had no trouble with, all have flat topped heads. Tonight, I have blocked one of the air holes with blutac and so far, it does seem much better.

Any chance of someone posting a pic so that we can see what "pointy bit on top" means? Then when we are ordering we can maybe ask the supplier what sort they sell.

None of my vivi's have 'pointy' heads, they're all flat.......The only 'pointy' heads I have are for the vision re-buildables.

just a update my nova failed miserably ,leaking everywhere all over me and my van seat whilst at work, which now smells of dessert ship vendor contacted and has dispatched a replacement tonight,so cant say fairer than that about him/her. hopefully just a rogue one slipping through factory QA
