Is it a rebuildable one? Generally just keep rinsing it out with warm water til the smell has gone then do a dry burn, dry burning is when you take the rubber cap off stick it on your pv then keep giving it 3 second bursts until the coil glows red.

I'm assuming that this is a rebuildable, Andy, so here goes:-
Have ready a bowl of hot, not boiling, water with no soap, some kitchen toweld or tissues, a fully charged battery, and your favourite, or new, juice. Make sure it's empty, and over a sink!! Unscrew the driptip and drop into the water. Unscrew the knurled bit at the bottom of the clearo while holding the thing upside down over the sink. Allow any remaining juice to drip out, then drop the tank into the water. Carefully unscrew the atomiser head from the centre post, and drop both into the water. Leave for five minutes, while you have a vape on your other clearo (what do you mean, you don't have another!? Shame on you!! LOL). Take out the tank, dry inside and out with kitchen roll. Do the same with the driptip. Remove the centre post and before and after drying, blow through the post from the small end (top) and then ensure all moisture is removed with the corner of a bit of KT. Take out the atty, pat dry with the KT, and as above blow through the small bit of tube at the top before ensuring all is dry. Reassemble the atty head and centre post, and screw onto the battery - probably a good idea to do this on the other side of the kitchen/bathroom/utility room/wherever SWMBO has deigned to allow you to carry out this process. Batteries and water are not good companions! Press the batt button and allow to heat up, not more than 10secs or the cut-out will, ah, cut-in, if you see what I mean. Don't panic if this produces a bit of smoke from the wick and that tiny tube sticking out of the top - this is the gunk and crud burning off. Once the smoke has stopped and you can see a red glow on the coil, allow to cool down (Doh!) then unscrew and immerse in the water again. Remove, dry as before, and dry burn as before. Finally, reassemble clearo, taking care not to overtighten screw threads (although ensure you have tightened the atty head ENOUGH - otherwise the screwing in and out of the driptip as you refill may cause the atty to come unscrewed, as happened to me!). Add your new juice, allow wicks to soak for 5 minutes if you can bear it, and Bob's your mother's sister's brother (I think!). Hope this helps!!

had mine a week and cleaned them over the weekend.
Basically took them apart and cleaned each bit individually in a bowl of hand hot water with a small blob of washing up liquid (not sure about the washing up liquid, but I did it), rised each bit under the tap. breaks down into 5 parts, drip tip, clear outer, long metal bit, atomiser/wick and little plastic bit with metal tip.
Blotted them each on kitchen towel and blew down all the holes and crannies. blotted the wick (being careful not to pull on the wick). Left them overnight stood on end. blew again down all the holes from both ends and left for a bit longer as one bit still had some water/liquid in.
re assembled, did a dry burn (you can look down the hole, with drip tip off, and see the coil glow red).
Working fine

BTW, I'm not suggesting you should follow what I did, just that, as a noob, I had little issue with doing it. Even possibly not by the recommended method, without incident. They appear to be fairly robust and simple, apart from the wick/coil/atomiser bit, which probably needs a bit of careful handling.

Thanks for the tips, I love the CE5 ,it's now taken over from the VIVI nova as my favorite tool ,great to see they are easy to clean.
